Hi! My name is Jasmine, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Pennsylvania with over 14 years of experience in behavioral and mental health across various settings, including hospitals, daycares, schools, and outpatient facilities. I have a broad background in assisting clients of all ages and specialize in addressing issues related to ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, grief, and trauma from domestic violence. My therapeutic approach is centered on tackling current issues with practical solutions that improve your well-being. It involves holding you accountable and providing the insights you need, rather than what you might want to hear. The evidence-based treatment modalities utilized are determined by my client's individual needs and personal goals. I appreciate research and utilize only evidence-based treatment modalities that have proven to be effective. I recognize that no textbook or degree can rival first-hand experience. Bearing in mind that I may not fully grasp my client's personal experiences, I excel at offering a professional and personable perspective, maintaining an open mind, and always remembering that my clients are the experts on their own lives. At times, the demands of daily life can be overwhelming, leading to feelings of defeat, exhaustion, and stress that impact one's relationships, job performance, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. If this resonates with you, be encouraged to know that you certainly are not alone. I am here and I am here to help.

I am a full-time school counselor, but work part-time as a therapist. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked in the mental health field for over 15 years in multiple roles. I enjoy helping adolescents and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns to identify strategies that allow them to manage and/or overcome these concerns. I tend to use an eclectic mix of person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy when working with clients. I also have been trained in mindfulness to assist my clients. I also understand the difficulties one might face related to the current societal climate as it relates to LGBTQ+ population and race. I believe it is important for clients to have a safe space to share the microaggressions, discrimination, and/or hate that one may face. I believe that I can be that safe space for all individuals. In my free-time, I am enjoy spending time with my family. During this time, we like to do things outdoors, such as playing pickleball, hiking, paddleboarding, or just relaxing.

As a biracial/bicultural mother, psychologist, and associate professor, I recognize the importance of a therapist who gets it. My goal is to support you and honor your experience by listening to what you need from a healing space. I am gender-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, and recognize the significance of race and culture. My therapeutic approach is best characterized by warmth, responsiveness, empowerment, and authenticity. I meet you where you are with a range of psychological approaches and tools to help you increase awareness, identify relational patterns, build coping strategies, and feel empowered to live authentically. Outside of my practice, I teach graduate counseling courses, provide supervision, and publish on biracial identity, anti-oppressive training of mental health providers, and racism-based trauma.
