Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania and New York. I obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work in 2016, from Adelphi University. I work with a wide range of people starting from adolescence all the way to individuals who are older adults. I also focus on a wide range of issues such as self esteem, relationships, caregiver burden/stress, Depression, and Anxiety to name a few.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Client's can expect a therapist who is focused, validating, and non judgmental in the first and follow up sessions. The first appointment usually requires questions that may feel like an interview, though it is all for the purpose of getting to know the person, their goals, and their struggles.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my strengths as a provider is the ability to use my sense of self, only to benefit the client. I am transparent, genuine, authentic, and passionate about the journey I take with my clients. In my years of experience I am uniquely good at getting to the root of the issue and finding solutions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

When I am working with teens, young adults, and clients across the life span it doesn't feel like "work." The clients I best serve are those committed to the task of healing even though it can be very hard. I enjoy clients who seek the perfect combination of a supportive professional who will also hold them accountable for progress towards goals. When appropriate humor is also a part of the therapeutic journey. Sometimes laughter is needed to get through the pain.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have foundational training in DBT and experience running multifamily and adult skills groups. The 4 areas of DBT skills are mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance are helpful not only for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder but also for other struggles such as anxiety, depression, low motivation, and socialization.

Psychodynamic

I use psychodynamics in treatment as a way to understand the deeper meaning to outward behaviors including assessing drives, and the connection between childhood experiences, trauma and adulthood.
