**About Me**
Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Master’s Level Social Worker (LMSW) and a Certified Substance Use Counselor (CSAC) based in Michigan. For over 26 years, I’ve supported individuals, families, and children navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, low self-esteem, and cultural or spiritual stressors. Many clients also struggle with emotional eating, weight gain, and challenges with weight loss, as well as health conditions such as diabetes, often connected to chronic stress, anxiety, depression, and unhealthy coping patterns. I work with various forms of anxiety, including phobias, OCD, perfectionism, and depression ranging from mild to severe, as well as grief related to loss, divorce, or major life transitions.
As a Certified Substance Use Counselor, I work with individuals facing all types of addictions, including alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography, and other compulsive behaviors. I focus on understanding how addictive patterns develop, how they impact mental and physical health, and how to create practical, sustainable strategies for recovery.
No matter what brings you to therapy, your thoughts and feelings matter. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. Together, we slow things down, explore your experiences, and build clarity around what you’re going through.
My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and strength-based. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. I help clients develop coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, anger, stress, and emotional eating, while addressing barriers to weight management and overall well-being.
With over 26 years of experience supporting mental health, grief, and addiction recovery, my goal is to help you feel empowered, balanced, and equipped to move forward with resilience and improved mental and physical health.
