About me

Welcome, I would like to commend you for making the first step in seeking support and change. Give yourself a pat on the back. It took much courage to get this far. As a licensed professional counselor, certified in working with Diverse populations, I empower, support, and provide guidance to groups and individuals to help them overcome personal obstacles through tele-therapy. I will use a variety of theories and interventions to facilitate in helping you heal and achieve your personal goals. I understand everyone’s journey is different. Allow me to walk with you as we explore the different ways to achieve treatment goals based on the changes that you’d like to make in your life. You are not alone; We are in this together! Your growth is important to me.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you, what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing lately, and what you’d like to get out of our work together. We’ll move at your pace, focusing on comfort and building trust. I’ll also explain what therapy looks like with me, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you may have so that you leave feeling heard and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach blends warmth, structure, and real-life strategies to help clients feel seen, supported, and capable of change. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed techniques to help you identify the patterns that keep you stuck and replace them with healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and connecting. Clients often say therapy with me feels grounding and empowering. A space to slow down, breathe, and rebuild confidence, balance, and self-trust both in relationships and within yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked with adults, teens, and children in helping identify behaviors and thought patterns that interfere with meeting their goals. I work with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, ADHD, defiance, trauma, co-parenting, relationship issues, behavioral issues, transition issues, attachment issues, and grief.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. In session, I help clients explore how their thoughts impact their emotions and behaviors, and we work together to build practical coping skills for everyday life. My approach includes journaling prompts, grounding techniques, and cognitive restructuring to help clients feel more in control of their emotions and reactions. I integrate CBT through reflective questioning (“What story are you telling yourself right now?”) and real-life practice between sessions. Clients learn how to pause, reframe, and respond to challenges with more balance and self-compassion.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful tools for healing. Using a person-centered approach, I create a space that is nonjudgmental, supportive, and empowering where clients feel truly seen and heard. I meet each client where they are, respecting their pace and autonomy. I provide validation, reflection, and unconditional positive regard to help them rediscover their strengths and inner resilience.

Trauma Informed Care

Many of my clients have experienced trauma whether relational, generational, or situational and I approach each session with sensitivity to safety, control, and empowerment. I focus on helping clients regulate their nervous system and reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been silenced or shut down due to trauma. I use grounding exercises, guided imagery, and psychoeducation about trauma responses to help clients understand their reactions and build emotional safety in the present. My goal is to help them move from surviving to thriving.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and body sensations without judgment. Mindfulness supports emotional regulation and helps clients stay grounded, especially when anxiety or intrusive thoughts arise. I use breathing exercises, body scans, and grounding tools (like the 5-4-3-2-1 technique) to help clients stay present. I often assign short mindfulness practices that fit easily into daily routines, helping clients slow down and reconnect with themselves.
