I am in my mid-life body years but my spirit and soul are forever young. I love people. I value my innate ability for unconditional positive regard for all souls. I believe all people are born good and beautiful, but through tough life experiences we get stuck in pain and fear. By identifying autonomic body responses and the connection to our thoughts there is a way to get back to the person we were intended to be, happy and full of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session we will get to know each other. I am open to answering questions personal or professional, as I will also be asking questions to get a better understanding of what you are wanting from therapy. I would like to set the pace for treatment based on what you want and what I think might help. We would start with small tasks to get things moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience as a person of color, Latina woman, has empowered me to find my voice among a world that may not have initially welcomed me in all arenas. I have gone through stages of self-acceptance and identity development and I can attest to the struggles of trying to love myself. I do appreciate my innate ability to be non-judgmental and have unconditional acceptance of other people's life styles. Interestingly, I have discovered that I cannot give away something I do not have. If I cannot see a different perspective, apply a great new coping strategy or accept me for me, then I would have nothing to share. Therefore, I have lots to share with the people I work with because I have worked on myself and will share these strategies with others.

My treatment methods

Multicultural

As human beings we experience and perceive life based on our culturally lived life styles. Life styles meaning gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and the people that surround and influence our lives. One similar situation will not be experienced the same from one person to then next. I like to hear how you experienced your life and start from there. I appreciate a person's individualistic life, I feel they are so beautifully unique that I am honored that you will choose me to share in the opportunity to really see you.
