I have lived a life much like most of my clients. I have experienced hardships and achievements, sadness and joy, and disappointment in myself and in others. For most of my life, I have been lucky enough to somehow “figure it out” on my own. At one point in my life, I made a commitment to myself that no one should have to “figure it out” on their own. We all need to have someone who is committed to helping us out when we are at our most vulnerable.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my listing. If you've come this far, you're on the brink of an important decision--and what a difference the right choice can make. As a Social Worker, I've made a difference in people's lives for nearly 15 years -- helping children, adolescents, adults, and families to overcome life/situational problems and gain emotional freedom. Everyone wants quick relief; therapy is a process, which requires some hard work from the individuals who are participating in therapy. My goal is to foster an interactive therapeutic experience, providing support and practical feedback to effectively address personal life challenges. I offer a personalized approach tailored to your needs. With compassion and understanding, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns and negative perceptions that are holding you back while we build on your strengths to help you attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing. As such this will begin the process of healing, growth, and self-empowerment. Our sessions will have a single focus -- helping you to rise above your current obstacles . . . whether that means conquering emotional issues, overcoming blocking beliefs, or repairing important relationships in your life.

Hi, I’m Dr. Josh Gonsher, a licensed clinical psychologist with a warm, down-to-earth approach to healing. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, worry, and stress—not by fighting their symptoms, but by creating a new internal landscape where those struggles no longer take center stage. My approach is grounded in Contextual Therapy. I don’t just help clients “fix” thoughts or behaviors—I work with them to build a more meaningful life, one where old patterns and problems naturally begin to lose their grip. It’s about shifting the frame, not just adjusting the picture. I offer a space that’s collaborative, gently challenging, and deeply respectful of your unique path. You don’t need to “have it all figured out”—just a willingness to begin. Whether you’re dealing with social anxiety, overthinking, burnout, or a general sense of feeling stuck, my goal is to help you move toward a version of life that you choose, one that often feels more grounded, spacious, and aligned with whom you truly are.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my foundation, and we'll look at the thoughts and habits that keep you stuck.” “Living with bipolar disorder or an eating disorder can feel isolating. Hi there, my name is Darrius. Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Are you feeling overwhelmed or just plain stuck in life? I help people restructure their damaged relationships. Relationships are more than romantic interactions between two people. Relationships as I define it can be with anyone or anything that you exchange energy with. The biggest relationship that we struggle to understand and grow with is the person staring at us in the mirror each morning. No matter what relationship your struggling with ( work, home, family, yourself.) I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Hi! I am Alyson Davis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a millennial and military brat that grew up in Northern Virginia. Currently, I reside in Maryland and have licenses in both Maryland and Virginia. I am taking clients in both states via telehealth. For undergrad, I attended the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) and for my graduate education and clinical training I practiced at Valdosta State University. The therapeutic modality I use the most often is Narrative Therapy. Using Narrative Therapy, I help clients change the problem stories in their heads to preferred stories to improve their behaviors, relationships, and life outlook. With this practice, I enjoy using journal prompts, metaphors, and media. I am not a trained Christian therapist, but I do identify as a Christian, and enjoy using all religion and spirituality in my practice, but it is not required. I am LGBTQ-IA+ affirming and believe in honoring and creating space for all identities in session. A personal joy of mine is working with Black clients who are first-timers in therapy to work on destigmatizing mental health and healing the impacts of white supremacy. More specifically, I prioritize supporting Black clients who grew up in predominantly White spaces who did not feel "Black enough." My favorite problem to work with is when someone says "I'm stuck," to help a client not only get moving but move in a healthy direction. In my personal life, I am married, am a mother to a sickle cell warrior son, have a wonderful bonus-daughter and playful Aussiedoodle. That being said, I have an appreciation for working with blended families and exploring dating post-divorce. For self-care I enjoy writing fiction, listening to 90's and 2000s R&B, and watching romcoms. Looking forward to helping your healing journey.

First of all, I love what I do and to witness the positive changes clients make in their lives as a result of choosing therapy to help them accomplish what they want. Often the goal is to achieve symptom relief so as to not be overwhelmed by anxiety, mood disorders or be better able to manage the challenges of ADHD. Sometimes there is not a specific outcome identified but a need for ongoing support for dealing with life transitions or difficult people. Sometimes clients use therapy as a confidential sounding board where they can talk to an objective outsider about situations and sort out their perspective. I offer various ways to see and respond to situations that might otherwise not be considered. Your opinion as a client is the most important one and I will also honestly provide mine when asked for. I believe therapy can actually be something that you can look forward to and an opportunity to learn new skills to use long after you discontinue, and we can even have some fun and laughs along the journey.

Listening to others' stories and supporting them in finding positive paths through challenges has always felt like a natural calling. Even as a child, friends would often reach out, and my mom would joke, "Is the doctor in?" Later on, this passion led to volunteering with kids in creative programs and working in hospice care, where deeper connections were formed. These experiences led to a rewarding role at an outpatient community clinic, where people from all walks of life could share their unique journeys and struggles. My work with clients have included helping those navigate stress, anxiety, mood disorders, and life transitions. The ideal clients are those who are open to exploring interventions and truly wish to understand themselves more deeply. Therapy is not about achieving perfection but rather finding new perspectives on who we are and how we engage with the world around us. Healing and personal growth rarely follow a straight path, and it's the patience and willingness to try that often make the difference in finding the right way forward.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to walking alongside individuals through their healing and growth journeys, beginning as a child and adolescent therapist before expanding my practice to work with adolescents and adults. My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and my training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, always adapted to honor each client's unique story and strengths. My work centers on building healthy, supportive relationships and helping clients strengthen emotional security, self-understanding, and resilience. I recognize the important role that connection and attachment can play in emotional and social development, and I bring that perspective into my sessions with individuals and families. I also take a holistic approach to challenges related to school, work, and learning, offering support to both teens and adults as they manage academic stress, identity development, and everyday responsibilities. I provide practical tools and compassionate guidance to support both emotional and functional well-being. For adults, I offer Motivational Therapy, using a personalized approach designed to strengthen intrinsic motivation and support positive behavioral change. My friendly and professional demeanor helps clients feel at ease as they work toward greater well-being.

Hello, I’m Cherokee Cabell, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful changes. I work with adults ages 18 and older who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly, gain a better understanding of yourself, develop practical coping skills, and work toward becoming the best version of yourself. I am the founder of Little Bits Counseling and Therapy and provide telehealth services to clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. I earned my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University–Camden and am also a Certified Clinical Supervisor. In addition to providing therapy, I support the development of future professionals through clinical supervision, nursing preceptorship, and mentorship. I am also the published author of *Rain to Reign* and its companion workbook, which focus on breaking cycles, reclaiming your voice, healing from difficult experiences, and finding empowerment through adversity. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel uncomfortable, but you do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start with where you are and work together toward where you want to be. PLEASE NOTE: Please schedule your first appointment at least 48 hours in advance to allow time to complete and return the required intake forms. This gives me an opportunity to review your information before we meet so that we can make the most of our first session.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, proudly continuing a family legacy of service and commitment to helping others. With over a decade of experience, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, home health, outpatient centers, and most recently within a K–12 school system. Throughout my career, I have considered it a true privilege to support individuals during some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments. I specialize in individual therapy and am now opening my practice to teens. My recent experience as a School Social Worker allowed me to provide direct therapeutic services to students across all grade levels, supporting them through anxiety, depression, academic stress, peer and family challenges, and crisis situations. This chapter feels especially meaningful, as I originally pursued my education with the goal of becoming a School Social Worker. In many ways, this transition represents a full-circle moment in my professional journey. I bring the insight, developmental understanding, and collaborative approach from the school setting into my practice, offering teens and their families compassionate, structured, and informed support.

My name is Circe Dunwoody. I am a license psychotherapist. In my psychotherapy practice I help couples and individuals to overcome life difficulties by using cognitive behavior therapy. Many couples and individuals feel overwhelmed by the desire to balance the high demands from work and family life. They report feelings of emptiness and loss of drive. Some report feeling of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Others contemplate divorce as a solution to decrease the pressure they are internalizing. You can contact me for help if you are experiencing some of the feelings I have mentioned above, and you are ready to make changes in your life. l work with couples and individuals in a safe and confidential platform environment. In life we all need support and understanding from others. Sometimes the best solution is to seek professional help. Having emotional support is extremely helpful. Relying on friends or family members is also helpful. However, you may not want to overwhelm them with problems. The most intelligent solution is seeking professional help.
