LPC, 20 years of experience
New to Grow
I am licensed in Maryland with 20 years of professional work experience to include individual and family therapy as well as teens and adults. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
During our first session, we will discuss your expectations and needs, as well as how best to facilitate our therapeutic relationship. We will then discuss goals and determine what you would like to accomplish in these therapy services.
What stands out the most with me is that my goal for each session is to listen and leave my clients with a voice. A voice that they will learn to express and use to gain the change they desire. I look forward to each session to give clients what they need.
I best serve adults and teens, as well as families and couples. Concerns that I am successful with include resolving depression and anxiety symptoms, incorporating using coping skills that address clients' concerns, teaching couples to work together, and giving a voice to clients that helps them through challenges. I believe in working through the toughness of relationships rather than dissolving them because of issues that can possibly be resolved.
When using CBT, I like to hear about the challenging/negative thoughts and discuss their reality. I like to learn the history of the thoughts and how they shape the future. In doing this, I am able to help you challenge thoughts where needed and embrace the reality that the thoughts support.
When using this method, I support the child and the parent with setting boundaries to give one another a voice. This helps with hearing what both may be experiencing with the challenges present in the relationship. We then work together to reach resolutions and changes where needed.
When using this method, I support each person with setting boundaries to give one another a voice. This helps with hearing what both may be experiencing with the challenges present in the relationship. We then work together to reach resolutions and changes where needed.
When using this method, I support each family member by helping them to establish a voice. I then make sure each person is heard to establish what is needed. This helps with hearing what each person may be experiencing with the challenges present in the relationship. We then work together to reach resolutions and changes where needed.
