Whether you're going through a particularly difficult situation or you've always struggled, change is possible and life can actually be pretty awesome, challenges notwithstanding. I help people figure out how to best address the mental health challenges they're facing and move towards a life of increased meaning, joy, and peace. Life doesn't always have to feel so hard, and I'd love to help you discover that for yourself.
Hi. Are you seeking support, healing, or personal growth? Do you find yourself questioning choices you make in life, how you experience relationships, or do you find that the stressors in life are getting to be too much? It is time to get to happiness or at least peace! I meet you where you are. We will work together to help you gain better insight, and address the emotional and mental difficulties that may be present due to past and current stressors. My name is Jen and I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) servicing individuals in Arkansas, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Connecticut, and New Jersey. I have been practicing for more than 9 years and am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey towards personal growth and well-being. With experience treating anxiety, depression, people pleasing, internal conflict, and relationship dynamics, I’m here to offer a compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy. Are your ready?
You can come back from anything no matter how bad you think the situation is. It is all about your mindset. Reprogramming your mindset is the key to your success. The power of change rest in your desire to want change. I believe that people have the power to change their circumstances within themselves by changing their thought pattern first. Reprogramming your mindset is the key to your success.
On paper, you have it all together. Whether you're managing a team, pouring everything into your career, or navigating the unique pressures of running a business, you're the reliable person everyone turns to. But constantly solving problems for others often means you're left carrying your own stress with no one to support you.
Beneath that capable exterior, you might be carrying the heavy weight of anxiety and/or trauma—whether from past experiences or chronic daily stress at your government workplace . It is easy to experience a quiet wave of impostor syndrome, worrying that showing vulnerability will cause everything to crack. Eventually, this turns into deep burnout that spills into your personal life, straining relationships and draining your joy. You don’t have to carry this alone anymore.
I’m here to offer a warm, genuine space where you have a steady, experienced guide in your corner. Prior to my work as a therapist, I have decades of experience in the business world. My approach is informed by my extensive background in work operations and a front-row seat to the business world. I know firsthand how exhausting it is to navigate the fast pace, shifting dynamics, and constant pressure of this environment every single day. Because I understand these realities, I already speak your language.
In our sessions, we focus on healing the root causes of your distress, not just managing symptoms. Backed by extensive training in advanced trauma treatment, I know how to help you safely process deep-seated stress. Highly capable people are often incredibly smart and easily intellectualize feelings, but trauma and burnout live in your nervous system, not just your logical brain.
I am a licensed counselor, with 20 years of experience. I have a warm and interactive style. I believe that real change occurs in a safe and accepting counseling environment. My approach is to combine cognitive-behavioral, developmental and person centered counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I am a Licensed therapist with deep roots in education and counseling, bringing over 25 years of experience working alongside young people, families, and adults through some of life's most demanding seasons. Before entering private practice, I spent 9 years as a teacher and 17 years as a school counselor, giving me a rich, grounded understanding of the challenges that unfold in schools, families, and the developmental journey from adolescence into adulthood. Like many of my clients, I live the realities of a full and layered life. I am the parent of two young adults, one navigating college and one stepping into the working world, and I am also a caregiver for my mother, who is experiencing the cognitive changes that can accompany aging. These personal experiences deepen my empathy and my genuine understanding of what it means to love people through transitions, uncertainty, and change. I come to this work not only with professional training, but with the lived knowledge of someone who understands, firsthand, how meaningful the right support can be.

With 26 years of experience in the mental health field, my background spans a wide array of treatment settings and diverse populations. My journey began in wilderness programming for adolescents, witnessing how nature and challenge foster powerful change. I then transitioned to residential programs for at-risk youth—including those with severe behavioral challenges and adolescent sexual offenders—and provided substance use treatment for youth and adults in detention facilities. Since 2016, I have focused heavily on the intersection of mental health and addiction, treating them as deeply interconnected.
Today, I specialize in treating all types of addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and certain personality disorders. My passion lies in helping adolescents (ages 14–18) and adults navigate their struggles with honesty, support, and practical solutions. Taking an eclectic approach, I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness into my practice. I also integrate creative modalities like sand tray and art therapy, knowing healing doesn’t always happen through words alone. Over my career, I have run numerous therapy groups and worked with a broad range of individuals, including LGBTQ+ and deaf clients.
Academically, I earned my bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from Frostburg State University (2000) and my Master of Social Work from Salisbury University (2011), obtaining my LGSW in 2011 and my LCSW-C in 2014.
At my core, I believe a fulfilling life requires balancing and nurturing the body, mind, and soul. My therapeutic approach is straightforward, genuine, and transparent: I don’t sugarcoat things, and what you see is what you get. I entered this field with a singular, clear purpose—to help people—and that remains my exact intention every day.

Across my more than 25 years of practice, I have served clients on the battlefield in Iraq as a Navy Clinical Psychologist in a Marine Unit, treated individuals and families in a private practice setting and spent the majority of my treatment years serving federal government employees and their spouses.

Hello!
I am a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has been practicing for over 24 years. I focus on helping those I work with identify their strengths and learn how to utilize those strengths to overcome their personal struggles to ultimately improve their mental health.
A little about me: My name is Shelly. I’m a person that loves taking adventures with family and friends, live music and dogs! In my free time I attend concerts, especially ones at outside venues, and playing with my rescue pup, Luna who comes to the office with me most days.
I’m a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical. I am coming to you with 7 years of experience in the field. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. Therapy with me is real, down-to-earth, and focused on what matters most to you. I offer affirming, culturally responsive care because your story, your background, and your experiences deserve to be fully seen and respected.
You may feel desperate, alone, and misunderstood. You feel like you are floating in the bottom of a lake and cannot see the light above you. Everyday, you feel like you are just going through the motions. If this describes you, then I may be the therapist for you. In my nearly twenty years of experience, I have helped people like you reach their potential and achieve the recovery that they needed. There is no set system or quick fix as others may promise, but I will walk down the road with you. My primary focus is on helping you deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I try and help you be okay with things that are beyond your control and work with you to establish yourself as the protagonist in your own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.
Have you been carrying the weight of anxiety, past trauma, relationship challenges, or overwhelming stress while trying to hold everything together?

Whether you're seeking support for a difficult season or ready to begin deeper healing, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
