New to Grow
I believe therapy should feel like a safe and supportive space where you can be yourself without judgement. As a therapist, I bring warmth, compassion, and careful listening to every session, helping you feel truly heard and understood. My style is both thoughtful and practical-I draw on years of experience and a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet you where you are and guide you toward where you'd like to be. I was raised in Florida then Maryland and have always felt a deep connection to people and nature. Just as time outdoors can bring calm and perspective, I strive to create that same sense of grounding and clarity in our work together. Outside of my practice, family life continues to shape my appreciation for relationships, growth and the challenges that come with change. Clients often describe me as a good listener who helps them discover new ways to cope, grow and move forward with confidence. My goal is simple-to help you feel supported, understood and empowered to create the changes you seek.
In our first session we'll talk about what brought you to therapy and what feels most important to you right now. I'd like to hear about your personal history so that I can understand your experiences and how they may be impacting you today. Together, we'll talk about the goals that you'd like to work toward and by the end of the session we'll have a comfortable plan for how we'll work together to achieve those goals.
What stands out about my approach to therapy is the way I combine deep compassion with practical tools that clients can take with them outside of sessions. Early in my career I worked extensively I worked with adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. That experience taught me how to meet people where they are with patience, empathy and respect-while also helping them find real, workable strategies to move forward. Whether it's developing healthier ways to manage stress, improving communication, or creating new patterns of coping, my goal is to provide both insight and practical support. This blend of compassion and tools helps clients feel empowered to create meaningful change.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy during times of uncertainty-when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of the next step. You don't have to fit into a specific category to benefit from support; if you are seeking clarity, healing or a safe space to be heard, you are welcome here. I often work with adults and adolescent clients who are living with anxiety, moving through major life transitions or grieving a loss. I also support individuals exploring identity, including those within the LGBTQ+ community and people navigating questions of self-worth or belonging. My role is to offer a compassionate, judgement-free space where you can fully be yourself, while we tap into your strengths and begin creating meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a way of looking at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions work together. Coming from a strengths-based perspective, we will practice shifting unhelpful patterns so that you can build skill to handle life's challenges with more ease.
Couples Counseling
Relationships take effort and sometimes we all need a little extra support. In couples counseling, I provide gentle guidance and practical tools to help you and your partner communicate openly, resolve conflicts more constructively and rediscover closeness. It's a warm, judgement free space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.
Psychodynamic
With this therapy I will help you understand how your past experiences, relationships and even unconscious patterns shape the way you feel and act today. In our work together, I'll gently guide you to explore these deeper layers-like recurring themes, feelings or struggles, so that you can gain insight, break free from old patterns and feel more in control of your choices. The goal is to create lasting growth and a stronger sense of self.
