I earned my Master of Social Work focused on working clinically with families and children at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSW-C) currently practicing in the State of Maryland. I have 16 years of experience helping to work with children and adults to decrease feelings of anxiety and depression, develop healthier patterns of thinking, and to process past experiences that are causing current challenges and distress. As the therapist I will use a person-centered approach to assist clients in developing a therapeutic partnership. This therapeutic partnership allows clients to actively engage in change therapeutically.
First session
Our first session will include me collecting background information, be an opportunity for me to get to know you, collect background information and identify your reason for attending therapy.
Strengths
I am an active listener, I am supportive, and non-judgmental. I can be a partner with clients in the therapeutic process.
Ideal clients
The ideal adult client is a client that is highly motivated, open to feedback and willing to take personal responsibility for their own growth. Able to take responsibility for your own growth will allow you to explore your feelings and thoughts and gain a deeper insight about your therapeutic process. Clients will also need to be trusting, flexible, honest , consistent, open to tolerate pain from growthand non-resistant she behaved herself as to change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients recognize how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interconnected. I have been able to teach healthier to identify and challenge unhealthy unhealthy, thinking patterns and more realistic thoughts to manage stress and modify behaviors.
