New to Grow
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) currently practicing in the state of Maryland. I have 9 years of experience working with adults and adolescents diagnosed with mental illness, trauma, substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. I am an empathic therapist who takes a person-centered approach to assisting clients on their pathway to well-being. I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important partnership and clients should have an active role in the work necessary to facilitate the changes one desires.
Our first session will be an opportunity for me to get to know you, collect background information and identify your reason for attending therapy.
I am an active listener, I am supportive, and non-judgmental. I see the therapeutic relationship as a partnership.
I have experience working with adolescents ages 14 -17, men, women, young adults, and adults of various age groups. I have experience working with returning citizens and clients who are currently court involved.
