I have been a clinical therapist for the past 20 years. In my time I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, geriatric patients, and LGBTIQQ individuals. Hi. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington. Perspective clients need to know I genuinely care about the people I work with, and have a passion for joining people on their journey to a new self. The fact that you are searching for a therapist shows you would like something to change. This is very brave.
We often lose perspective about situations and how we deal with them. This can be a result of things we have buried from our past, or relationships that did not support us in the way we need. I will give you a safe and supportive place to look at your unwelcome patterns and find a way to make your journey more fulfilling.
My counseling focus is on adolescents, adults, and elders (65+). My philosophy is client-centered, Mindfulness based, trauma informed, and goal oriented. I have training and experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. My areas of focus include trauma, attachment issues, difficulties with distress tolerance and emotional regulation, along with families dealing with Alzheimer's.
Your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are what make you who you are. As we work together to understand these parts of you, we will find a way to alter those thoughts that no longer work for you and strengthen those that are helping you become who you wish to be.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and in Illinois. I obtained my Masters degree from Aurora University here in Aurora, IL. I have 8 years of experience working with marriages and families and it has been an absolute joy of mines. I have always had a strong passion to see marriages and families thrive and succeed in today's society. It is my hope to do the same for you.
Hello! My name is Tiffany Perkins, LPC, LCPC, and I’m a licensed therapist in both Illinois and Georgia. I earned my Master’s degree from National Louis University in 2016 and have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, with 5 years as an independently licensed clinician. I specialize in supporting teens, young adults, and adults navigating major life transitions, whether it's starting college, changing careers, or healing from breakups. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space to help you grow through what you’re going through.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or emotionally stuck — like everything takes more effort than it should. Maybe your thoughts won’t slow down, your motivation is low, or you’re going through the motions without feeling fully present. Many of the adults I work with live with anxiety, depression, trauma, or are navigating major life transitions, including autistic adults and those exploring a later-in-life diagnosis.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion and practical support. I specialize in working with individuals managing anxiety, stress, and life transitions, and I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to promote growth and resilience. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel understood and empowered to make meaningful change.
If you've never been in therapy before, I know it can be a scary step. Be proud of your bravery. If you have been in therapy before, I'm glad you chose to return. Either way, my job is to help you find your strengths to learn to manage any issues you are dealing with so you can find your peace again. It is a journey and it won't always be easy but it will be worth it.
I have been a therapist and a psychology professor for 30 years. I have worked with children, teens, and adults, although I have spent the majority of my career working with teens. I enjoy teens because I have a lot of patience for them.
I believe in psychoeducation in therapy. I think that it's not only important to understand what you are doing but why you are doing it. Only by understanding both can you make the changes necessary for long-term happiness.
I also believe in working on both the present and the past. I want to help you figure out how to make the present better immediately, while also working to understand anything from your past that may have helped lead to any current issues. Working on both in combination will give the most thorough explanation and avenue for effective treatment.
Most importantly, I believe in working together. I may be the "expert" but only you know what is working and what isn't. I will ask you for feedback and I will listen to what you have to say.
I am more than willing to do phone appointments if you find them more comfortable than video appointments. Just let me know.

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. If you choose to work with me, I'll have the honor of learning about you, so here's a little bit about me to see if I'm who you're looking for.
In Spring 2025, I became a mom to a little boy who is consistently a source of joy and wonder. I was thrilled for this next stage in my life, but pregnancy and postpartum were far more painful, complex, and vulnerable than I had expected. Until going through that personally, my clinical specialty was helping folks through their past and present traumas. While that is still a primary focus of mine, I have also had the privilege of working with moms, dads, and caregivers as they navigate the life transition of parenthood and explore their new, unfamiliar selves.
I am also a mom to three fluffy dogs and one leopard gecko, who is by far the easiest of the bunch. While I don't have ample free time in this season of my life, I love reading mystery novels, doing puzzles, and watching comedy movies when I can. I was drawn to this work out of a deep respect for the resilience of the human spirit and a desire to be a steady presence for people during times of uncertainty, growth, and healing. If this sounds like the connection you're looking for, I can't wait to meet you.
Hello! So glad you are here! Do you get into relationships hoping that this time things will be different? Do you feel overwhelmed and have a hard time recognizing your dreams and goals? Would you like a more kind and loving relationship with yourself and the ability to extend that to others in your life? I love helping people who are ready to identify patterns that hold them back from happiness and fulfillment in both relationships and other areas of life.
My name is Lisa, and I provide therapy for both addictions and mental health issues. While I have treated those with active addiction for many years, I also treat behavior patterns stemming from addictions and family dysfunction. Although these patterns started out helping us survive challenging situations, they can keep us stuck. Many therapy seekers have found that these patterns can impact their ability to recognize their needs, dreams and to create and sustain both platonic and romantic relationships.
I have a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University specializing in Substance Abuse. From substance abuse counseling, I have expanded my areas of specialties to include family and relationship dynamics and how to heal "survival skills" that have evolved into self-defeating life patterns.
I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.
I’m not the kind of therapist who just listens quietly—I believe therapy should give you practical tools you can use in your daily life. My hope is that, over time, you’ll feel confident and resilient enough that you no longer need therapy at all. My approach is practical, brain-based, and rooted in compassion, I will help you understand your nervous system, explore where you feel stuck, and build easy-to-use techniques that support you in everyday life.
You don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I’ll sit with you through it, and together we’ll build the steps that help you feel grounded, stronger, and more at ease.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, OCD, life transitions, burnout, low self-esteem, and tough emotions like anger. My approach is practical, brain-based, and rooted in compassion.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and over ten years of clinical experience. I specialize in helping adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health challenges related to traumatic life experiences and circumstances beyond their control.
My therapeutic approach is compassionate, client-centered, and collaborative. I integrate holistic and evidence-based practices to help clients heal, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of purpose and inner strength. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where meaningful change and self-discovery can take place.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day life? Are there things from your past that are unresolved? Do you desire self-improvement but don’t know where to start?
Starting where you are is the first step in every new journey. I want to help guide you on your journey by helping you to unlock your own inner power to make transformative changes in your life. This can sound overwhelming, but you don’t have to do this work alone. I take a client-centered approach by meeting you wherever you may be in your journey of healing and self-discovery. I began training to be a psychotherapist 15 years ago after having worked in publishing for many years. Becoming a Social Worker and helping others has always been a kind of calling for me, but it took a little while for me to arrive at my goal. I hope that that part of my story helps to prove that it is never too late to change or to pursue goals. I continue to integrate the things that I have learned through formal education and through my own experiences of life so that I am best able to help others who are experiencing distress and difficulties with navigating life.
We all need additional support from time-to-time, especially given the complicated, fast-changing world we live in. My goal as a psychotherapist is to be a source of support and assistance as you develop insight into the difficulties you face and as you begin to develop strategies for change. Through interactive-therapy sessions, I help you to understand and clarify life’s challenges and I support you as you begin to make the changes that are needed to make progress towards your goals. I help my clients to discover and explore a positive path in therapy that they can then continue to follow as they pursue their goals and their lives independently.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I specialize in working with adults that feel stuck. Life is busy, overwhelming at times, and constantly changing. I will help you develop skills to cope with anxiety, depression, and life stressors.
The goal of treatment is validation and re-focusing on individual strengths in order to improve quality of life.
“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”
― Shannon L. Alder
How can I help?
Hey there!! I'm Sara.
Sometimes we just need someone to listen. We're all human, we all struggle, and despite what many think... that's what normal looks like. With me, you'll be in a safe, non-judgmental place to share whatever you feel led. I am very laid back and work at the pace you feel comfortable. I will strive to help you find the things inside of you that will help you overcome past struggles and allow you to grow. I believe that it's not my place to advise you on what you should do, but encourage you to make the changes that best fit your season of life.
Hello! My name is Nicolette Surico. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Therapist. I have been working with adults, young adults, adolescents, families, and couples for over 20+ years and in the areas of Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health as well as Mentally Ill Substance Users.
Most of what I hear from those seeking Therapy has to do with struggling with, as well as, navigating through life challenges, especially during these complicated times. What you may have seemed to manage before might be creating a sense of uncertainty. That is a perfect place to begin Therapy!
I think it's important to consider the whole person in Therapy. Creative approaches/techniques that can assist you with recognizing things that can assist you moving forward. Looking forward to working with you!
