New to Grow
I am a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused interventions to support healing, resilience, and meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to move forward with confidence and hope.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive space where we focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will explore your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals for treatment, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and collaborate with you to begin creating a plan that aligns with your needs. Most importantly, the first session is about building trust and ensuring you feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin your healing journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is creating a compassionate, trauma-informed environment where clients feel safe to explore difficult emotions and experiences. I combine evidence-based methods—such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused interventions—with a client-centered, collaborative approach, which helps clients gain insight, build coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. My ability to tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs and pace consistently supports clients in moving from feeling stuck to feeling empowered and resilient.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve individuals and couples who are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, addiction, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in unhealthy patterns and are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I work especially well with clients who are open to self-reflection, motivated to build healthier coping skills, and committed to healing at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and behavioral difficulties. In my practice, I integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skills-building to support clients in developing healthier coping strategies and creating meaningful, sustainable change.
Trauma-Focused CBT
As a Certified Trauma Specialist, I apply trauma-informed principles to ensure safety, stabilization, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process. I integrate evidence-based approaches to help clients process traumatic experiences, regulate their nervous systems, and build resilience while honoring each client’s pace and readiness for healing.
Couples Counseling
I provide couples counseling focused on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. I use structured, evidence-based interventions to help partners identify unhealthy patterns, develop healthier conflict-resolution skills, and foster deeper understanding and intimacy within the relationship.
Grief Therapy
I support clients navigating grief by providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to process loss and the complex emotions that accompany it. My approach integrates trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions to help clients honor their loss, adjust to life changes, and gradually reconnect with meaning and hope.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence and strengthen their intrinsic motivation for change. Through collaborative, nonjudgmental conversations, I support clients in identifying their values, resolving resistance, and building confidence in their ability to make meaningful behavioral changes.
