Hi, I'm Ariel Swanson, LCSW. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel both supportive and productive. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, helping them make sense of their experiences and move forward with more clarity and confidence. I bring a mix of compassion, honesty, and gentle challenge, because growth usually requires all three.
I want to meet a client where they are at, therefore where one wants to start. I am genuine and authentic and want to assist someone to get the help and resources they may need to be and feel better as a person overall. I enjoy teaching skills and am constantly learning new skills and techniques to be a better therapist. I also may push at times in order to assist one to explore further what it is they are experiencing.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you're managing anxiety, depression, past trauma, or navigating major life changes. You don't have to go through it alone.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide compassionate, evidence-based telehealth therapy through EmpathicPath, making it easy to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. I specialize in working with adults and older adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, health changes, retirement, loss of independence, and other life transitions.
My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back, build practical coping strategies, and work toward greater resilience, emotional well-being, and a more fulfilling life. Wherever you are in your journey, I'm here to help you take the next step with confidence and hope.
Hello, I’m a licensed clinical social worker based in Illinois, specializing in anxiety, depression, and stress management, and mindfulness. I also have experience working with veterans. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health, manage anxiety, and reconnect with their sense of purpose.
As a therapist, I believe in a systemic approach, understanding that we all operate in an intricate web of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how they relate to others around us. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), existential, and humanistic modalities to help you explore these connections and build a stronger foundation for growth. I also offer EMDR to process trauma.
I take a collaborative and compassionate approach in therapy, recognizing that every person has both strengths and vulnerabilities that shape their healing journey. My goal is to support you in tapping into your resilience, finding clarity, and fostering a life aligned with your values.
If you're looking to explore your growth or tackle anxiety, I’m here to help you move forward, offering services through a secure tele-health platform.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe healing is about more than reducing symptoms—it’s about helping you reconnect with the person you were always meant to be. If you’ve been living in survival mode, carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, know that healing is possible. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as you move toward lasting emotional wellness.
I provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy that honors the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and relationships. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, nervous system regulation, somatic practices, and Relational Life Therapy (RLT) for couples. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to your unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals, recognizing that every healing journey is different.
Many of the people I work with have spent years putting everyone else’s needs before their own. They may struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-worth, burnout, unresolved trauma, grief, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Others are navigating difficult relationships, divorce, parenting challenges, or significant life changes and want healthier ways to cope. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck and begin creating new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding that support the life you want to build.
Our work together will focus on understanding how past experiences continue to influence your present. We’ll explore the beliefs, behaviors, and emotional patterns that developed as protective strategies while learning practical skills to regulate your nervous system, manage stress, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, strengthen self-trust, and cultivate resilience. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you create meaningful, sustainable change that lasts long after therapy ends.

In my experience as a counselor, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals in various settings. I have worked with children and adults in the community, residential, hospital, and educational settings. In each environment I have witnessed the marvel of human potential firsthand. As a clinician I approach people and the work that I do from the belief that people have the innate ability to grow and heal on their own. My personal life experience and my practice have fostered this belief, recognizing that the process may require or be made more manageable with some assistance or a guide, in the form of counseling.
Through my experiences I have witnessed the benefits of the human components that aid in the healing process of psychological symptoms that create difficulty in moving toward fulfillment and full integration of the human experience in the lives of many. The therapeutic relationship, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard are components that for me represent the core of therapy. These components create an experience in which someone can safely explore themselves, their experiences, the world around them, and identify solutions to ailments and the "true self" that is often altered by the world around us.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois.

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”

Whether you are navigating questions of identity, cultural expectations, discrimination, or self-acceptance, I provide a space where your experiences can be explored with curiosity, respect, and compassion.

We all experience difficult periods in our life, unfortunately some more than others. Therapy is one tool that can help you process, understand your thoughts and emotions, and give you the opportunity to be truly heard. Drawing from extensive clinical experience, I tailor interventions to meet each individual's unique needs, focusing on empowerment, resilience, and holistic well-being. Art Therapy | Contemporary Counseling | Executive Coaching | Micro -> Macro Systems Consulting
I'm EC an Art Therapist (MAAT + MFA), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Domestic Violence Counselor specializing in Trauma Informed Psycho-education and creative care modalities for adults, couples, families & kids. Prior to achieving this ABC Soup of credentials I identified mostly as an artist, social impact entrepanuer, designer and community activator. My work exists at the intersection of radical self-expression, relational aesthetics, and ergonomic systems. For more than a decade, I have worked with individuals navigating the human condition in the context of a sublime horror we know as the American dream.
I work especially well with creativly curious, intellectually restless, hard workers or entrepreneurs, and those who have felt alienated by social roles, institutions, or purely medicalized approaches to mental health. Many of my clients are perceptive, skilled and capable, yet feel fragmented, overextended, creatively blocked, or disconnected from achieving self-actualization.
My approach is collaborative, experiential, and structurally aware. I believe psychological health cannot be separated from holistic wellness, environment, labor, relationships, embodiment, culture, or material conditions. Together we examine not only symptoms, but the broader natural & constructed ecosystems we inhabit. We investigate mobility through social and emotional "life worlds", the narratives one has inherited, our survival strategies, what we find valuable, beautiful and how we make meaning with a life's worth of raw material.
Alongside clinical practice, I have developed community-based art and advocacy projects with justice system-impacted individuals, survivors of violence, as well as alternative labor communities. Across all of this work runs a shared question: how do human beings maintain dignity, imagination, agency, community and connection under difficult conditions?

In my work my goal is to assist my clients to develop greater insight and effective strategies to manage stressful and distressing situations in their lives. I believe therapy can be one of the most healing technique for someone to overcome challenges in their lives.

My name is Shavone Marie Williams-Moss, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I entered the field of social work largely because of my family background; I was raised by a single father while my mother struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and could not perform her role as a parent.
One day as an adult in my 20's, I saw my mother sitting on a bench on the main street in Kentucky. I welcomed her into my home only to discover she not only suffered from homelessness but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. My mother lived with me for a year, after which she passed away. This situation made me wonder, what if, in her younger years, she would have met someone who was supportive, understanding, kind, selfless, and invested in helping her be the best version of her, she could be. It was then that I decided to enter the Social Work Field. I wanted to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid to those in need.
