Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois and Maine. I have experience working with clients in crisis with severe mental illness to adults experiencing depression and anxiety with chronic complex medical conditions. Coping with life challenges is not something you have to go through alone. Many people seek therapy for support, information, and new ideas on how to better handle the curve balls that life can throw sometimes. I believe that human beings are incredibly resilient and sometimes need assistance in recognizing their own inner strength to create positive changes in their lives. The therapeutic relationship should be collaborative, built upon both mutual respect and independence, and I hope to empower my clients to find opportunities for personal growth so that they can move forward with their goals. I have been a great support to those experiencing significant changes in their lives such as new medical diagnosis or crisis events. Be proud of making this step forward toward your best self. I look forward to working together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and expectations from sessions. This will help me create a plan and set goals for us to keep track of.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is providing a foundational safe space for anyone needing to express themselves.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have experience working with young and older adults. It's rewarding to support all clients in different phases in their lives. I have experience working with adults ages from 18 to even as young as 100+ years.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this practice to encourage and promote changes my clients are capable to make within themselves.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Being culturally sensitive to each client is how I can better understand their needs and expectations from our sessions.

Mind-body approach

I believe our environment and community impacts our physical and emotional wellbeing. We have one body and mind . If our body is not functioning at their full capacity then the mind impacted and vice versa. It’s important to consider what nourishing your physical and mental health looks like for you.

Motivational Interviewing

I believe my clients are able to make healthier choices and changes with the appropriate guidance. Together we are addressing barriers and behaviors that keep us from managing everyday tasks or medical conditions.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have much experience helping clients navigate thru crisis and traumas.
