One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. There is so much value, understanding, and growth in developing a healthy relationship with yourself. If you think about it, the longest and most important relationship we will ever have is the one we have with ourselves. I am here to help you begin or continue that journey. I am the type of therapist you want to reach out to if you are struggling with perfectionism or low self-esteem, situations that make you feel anxious, depressed, and easily overwhelmed, or that feeling of being completely burned out and in need of self-care. Whether you are looking to enhance and strengthen your skillset or looking for a listening ear to unwind and receive support, I am here to help you. Together, we will explore, identify, and discover what works and what does not. We will figure out the best way to get you the quality of life you want and need. Whether you are ready to take action or contemplating where to start, feel free to reach out so we can connect and see if I would be a good match for what you are looking for.
In our first session together, we'll start with hearing about what brings you to therapy and discuss how I can be of help to you. I will then complete a holistic assessment to get to know you as a whole. This will help me learn about all the wonderful facets that make you who you are and create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My biggest strengths are my warm, calm, and understanding demeanor and desire to make individuals feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I have a knack for using creativity and light humor with my clients and really enjoy helping clients identify their strengths and virtues to help them thrive.
Adult individuals — individuals experiencing transitions. Individuals experiencing challenges or desire to make changes with respect to academic/relationship/work/social related situations. Individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, burnout, struggling with self-care, self-esteem, and finding balance. Individuals looking for coping skills to manage distress.
I use Cognitive-Behavior Therapy to get an understanding of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that influence the way you operate. This helps to see if there are certain patterns you engage in that may or may not be working for you. This way, we can highlight ways of operating that work for you and discuss ways to change ways of operating that are not working for you.
