New to Grow
Since beginning my career in psychotherapy in 2002, I have been driven by a deep commitment to assisting individuals navigate life’s challenges and realize their fullest potential. Over more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of guiding clients through moments of crisis and transformation—whether they arrived seeking relief from anxiety, support in grieving, or guidance through life transitions. My approach is integrative, blending the humanistic clarity of client‑centered therapy with the structured, skill‑based power of cognitive behavioral techniques. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy, combining practical tools with a supportive, nonjudgmental space. My approach helps clients challenge unhelpful thoughts, build coping skills, and grow through empathy, trust, and collaboration. Reaching out for help can feel daunting—I know it takes courage to share your worries or frustrations. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck, you’re not alone and your story matters. If you’re curious about therapy or how to start, I’d be honored to listen and support you when you’re ready.
Clients can expect the first session to be a supportive, relaxed, and collaborative conversation focused on getting to know them and understanding what has brought them to therapy. During the initial session, I gather information about current concerns, emotional and behavioral patterns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and treatment goals while creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected. I also provide an overview of the therapeutic process, answer questions, and begin identifying practical goals and strategies tailored to the client’s needs. My approach integrates person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients feel supported while also developing insight, coping skills, and meaningful progress toward positive change.
My greatest strengths as a clinician center on a balanced integration of structure, empathy, and practical application. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a strong person-centered foundation, which allows clients to feel both genuinely supported and actively guided toward change. What stands out about my approach is my ability to translate insight into action. I don’t just help clients understand their thoughts and emotions, but I equip them with concrete skills to manage symptoms, improve coping, and create measurable progress in daily life. My work is also collaborative and strengths-based, meeting clients where they are while helping them build confidence, emotional regulation, and healthier patterns of thinking and behavior. Overall, my approach is both grounded and goal-oriented, making me especially effective with clients who want meaningful insight paired with practical tools for real-world improvement.
I am best positioned to work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, ADHD-related challenges, and emotional regulation concerns. My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated for personal growth, open to self-exploration, and seeking practical strategies to improve coping skills, communication, confidence, and overall emotional well-being. I also work well with clients navigating chronic illness, family or marital conflict, work-related stress, and adjustment challenges. I strive to provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to build insight, resilience, and healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, goal-oriented approach to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship difficulties. In practice, I utilize techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, coping skill development, and problem-solving strategies to help clients improve emotional regulation and daily functioning. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and focused on helping clients develop practical skills they can apply outside of sessions.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered therapy approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. In practice, I emphasize empathy, active listening, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard to help clients build self-awareness, confidence, and personal insight. I integrate person-centered principles into treatment by allowing clients to guide the therapeutic process while supporting their individual goals, strengths, and capacity for growth.
