I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who blends clarity, compassion, and real-world tools to help you move forward. Symptoms and stress from the pandemic and beyond has caused our lives to change in so many different and unique ways. Welcome home, I can provide you with a safe space to begin the path to your healing. Mental health is as important as physical health with you at the center. I have a passion for working with young to older adults. The breadth of my experience has included people with dynamic experiences. I have worked in such rural communities such as San Angelo, TX and as diverse as Jersey City, NJ. Depression, anxiety, grief, college and life stress are just a few areas where I could help you to make positive and new changes.
I am a New Jersey native and have over 20 years of professional experience working in various clinical and supportive facilities such as Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Outpatient Treatment, State Residential Treatment Centers, Community Mental Health Clinics, Employee Assistance Programs, and Assisted Living centers.

My background includes working within a large, complex healthcare system, where I have supported individuals across a wide range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to trauma and more complex mental health conditions. That experience allows me to work comfortably with both straightforward and more layered challenges.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or repeating patterns they can’t quite make sense of. One of the first things I focus on is helping you see the full picture clearly. I place a strong emphasis on education and insight, not in a clinical or overwhelming way, but in a way that helps things finally click.
My approach is both structured and collaborative. I will listen closely, but I’m also actively thinking with you, identifying patterns, offering perspective, and helping you connect experiences in a way that leads to meaningful change.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Rooted in a person-centered approach, I believe therapy should honor each individual’s unique values and strengths, empowering them to take steps that align with their goals. Hello!
My name is Cetara, and I am deeply passionate about working with women who have experienced trauma and are ready to reclaim joy, confidence, and a sense of wholeness in their lives. It takes courage to slow down and examine the experiences that have shaped you. Often, unresolved trauma weaves itself into our present lives—impacting how we react, our ability to be vulnerable, how we communicate, our expectations, physical health, and, most importantly, how we see ourselves.
My path into counseling began when I recognized the impact of trauma in my own family and felt called to help others break these cycles. I believe that when one individual heals, it can open the door to freedom and healing for an entire family system.
I bring a strong background in community mental health, with experience supporting individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, including Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I have also worked extensively with survivors of sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, gun violence, and individuals navigating grief and loss. In addition, I support clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, chronic pain, physical health challenges, depression, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, and a wide range of women’s issues.
If you are ready to do the work, I am ready to walk alongside you in healing. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey toward growth and restoration.

Are you ready to get started?
Greetings, I am a licensed therapist based in Georgia, holding a Master's degree from Capella University and an Ed.S. from Valdosta University. With six years of experience as a nationally certified counselor, I specialize in supporting young adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, and various life issues. My primary focus is on empowering and assisting African American women in their journey towards mental well-being.
Hello, I am Melissa Jones, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia, offering telehealth counseling services to adults throughout the state. I specialize in supporting individuals who are experiencing stress, grief, and emotional overwhelm.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in kindness, patience, and empathy. I believe in actively listening and truly understanding each client’s unique experiences and needs as we work collaboratively toward meaningful therapeutic goals. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more accurate, balanced perspectives. I also integrate Grief Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support healing from loss and distressing life experiences. Together, we focus on building coping skills, resilience, and emotional clarity to promote lasting growth and well-being.
If anxiety, depression, or major life transitions are weighing you down, I’m here to help you navigate those challenges with care and clarity. Using CBT and a solution-focused approach, I work with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand where they come from, and replace them with more balanced and supportive ways of thinking.
Together, we’ll explore your strengths, build practical coping strategies, and create small, achievable steps that move you toward the changes you want to see. Throughout the process, I’ll support you in making sense of your experiences, recognizing your resilience, and building momentum at a pace that feels right for you.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded, capable, and confident in your daily life—so you can show up for yourself with greater ease, clarity, and self-compassion. If you’re ready, we’ll take those steps forward together.
My journey into therapy began with a desire to help the hurting individuals I worked with in a group home, and a genuine passion for helping others find strength through life’s most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people facing a wide range of challenges—experiences that have shown me just how powerful and transformative therapy can be. These moments have only deepened my commitment to walking alongside others on their path to healing. I’m continually inspired by the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. We can change and heal. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way. I treat adults age 18 and up.
I’m a licensed professional counselor who provides a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive space for healing and growth. I have a particular passion for working with Black women, supporting them as they navigate stress, identity, relationships, and life transitions within personal, cultural, and systemic contexts. Using evidence-based approaches and a compassionate, strengths-focused style, I partner with clients to build insight, develop effective coping skills, and move toward goals that align with their values and overall well-being
My counseling services integrate existential theory, CBT/REBT modalities, and DBT skills, with a focus on providing quality care to adults. I primarily work with concerns related to lack of meaning, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. While I emphasize choice and personal responsibility, I also make it a priority to validate each client’s emotional experience. I believe therapy should be about getting better, not just feeling better. To support that growth, I use active, directive, and challenging interventions designed to help clients develop the skills to ultimately help themselves.

Tara Sanders is a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and has been in the mental health field for 20 + yrs. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University and earned her Master’s of Science degree from Abilene Christian University. She has a wide range of career experience that allows her to adapt to the varied needs of her clients. Her diverse experience was derived from working in an all-male maximum-security prison, her position as a school counselor to provide counseling services to children in need of temporary, situational, and/or ongoing emotional challenges, her years acting as a mobile crisis assessor, and her role as supervisor for a state-wide crisis hotline. Additionally, she worked as a Military Family Life Counselor for 10 years overseas in Europe (German and Italy) and stateside.
Tara believes that individuals who are entering counseling should feel comfortable and safe which is why she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach that highlights channeling negative thoughts into positive ones. She believes that stressors in one’s life can feel unmanageable, but she helps her clients to maximize their resiliency and come to view the challenge as a bump in the road --a bump that can be moved past into a successful healthier path. Her goal is for all her patients to become open to gaining new perspectives and be willing to explore family dynamics and upbringings that have developed them into the persons they are today. Tara works with her clients to assist them with changing any self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.
She truly believes that caring for yourself and your relationships are the most important task that you will ever have.

It is my belief that you have everything you need within you to live your best life and be your best self, however, unhealed wounds can slow that timeline of seeing that manifest. It is my goal to guide, educate, support, and empower my clients on their way to healing.
I find great joy when my clients have that light bulb moment when they realize they in fact can be the captain of their healing/journey. I also understand that not everyone is of the mindset that they need healing and may require someone to help them build their personal road map of goals, I can also assist with that and would say I would serve in more of a coaching role for you.
Lastly, picking the right therapist can be scary, I would like to share that I find the therapeutic alliance as a collaboration of communication, honesty, and mutual respect. If you feel I am a good fit for you, I would love to walk alongside you as you explore your inner challenges and develop long-term solutions to those challenges.
If you are looking for a therapist that says more than “and how does that make you feel”- Keep reading. My approach is laid back, I work hard to help my clients gain my trust, and I believe in actively listening to my clients. However, our sessions are interactive and collaborative because we work together to achieve goals. This process isn’t about “telling all of your business to a stranger”, its about healing
