Let’s Talk Therapy! My name is Bre Auna Thomas. As your therapist I am able to help clients gain awareness of unhelpful thought patterns and self defeating beliefs to alleviate their mental health symptoms. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker {LCSW} in two states Nevada and Georgia. My passion is helping clients gain awareness of unhelpful thought patterns and teaching clients the skills and techniques to emotionally regulate, achieve mental stability, and self soothe themselves ultimately alleviating their mental health symptoms. My educational background includes a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California {USC}. I also have a dual Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Sociology with a minor in Pre-Law.
During the first session clients are asked a series of questions to complete an assessment, develop treatment goals, and identify a diagnosis. As your therapist I provide a safe space free of judgment so that my clients develop and enhance the tools needed to learn self acceptance and achieve their personal therapeutic goals.
My greatest strength as a clinician is that I utilize a strength-based perspective and humanistic approach when working with clients so that they feel empowered. Each session with me as your therapist allows for you to explore, learn, and gain awareness through utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy {CBT} and the 12th unhelpful thought patterns. In treatment my clients receive therapeutic homework via the message portal allowing my clients to practice skills both in session and outside of session so that they are able to achieve treatment goals in a reasonable and realistic time frame.
I pride myself as a therapist with providing my clients with the tools needed to self manage and self regulate helping clients achieve their desired treatment goals and learn emotional regulation skills and techniques. I have worked with children, adolescence, adults, and the geriatric population for over 15 years. The clients that I am best positioned to serve are clients that want to analyze their thought patterns and empower themselves to make a change in their thinking to alleviate and/or mange their mental health symptoms.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
There is no single solution or treatment modality when understanding mental health. I have been trained in a variety of different treatment modalities to deliver therapeutic treatment. However, my base and main treatment modality used in every session is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy {CBT} and the 12 unhelpful thought patterns.

phenomenal first session! I feel that she understands my issues. She’s empathetic towards the things that I’ve been through and she is a great listener, and I am so glad that I found her through this site!

Bre is authentic and empowering. She helps bring out things that are buried in such a supportive and encouraging environment. The additional resources provided are also a plus. I feel I can come as I am without judgement.

I just had my "evaluation" with Bre and she was incredible. She was sensitive with how she asked questions. She felt engaged the entire time and made it a lot easier for me to understand how and why I am feeling the way I am feeling. She gave me "homework" to work on in my spare time which helps tremendously with working towards my goal.
