My passion for helping others began as a teenager while volunteering with children in foster care, and has since evolved into over a decade of dedicated service across various settings. I have extensive experience working with children, teens, young adults, and families, particularly those facing difficulties with behavior, focus, emotional regulation, and adjustment. I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, anger management, autism spectrum disorder, depression, trauma, grief, domestic violence, DMDD, and other adjustment-related issues.

Clients describe me as warm, relatable, and highly supportive—someone who truly meets you where you are.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Art Therapy, and Talk Therapy. I believe in helping clients identify root causes and build practical tools for emotional well-being and personal growth.
With a strong background in working with children and adolescents who struggle with discipline, anger, attention, anxiety, trauma, and depression, I feel that I have a natural ability to connect and guide young clients in a way that fosters trust, empowerment, and change.
“It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way that you carry it.”
I am ready to walk beside you on your journey toward healing. If you are prepared to do the work and seek a safe, supportive space to grow, transform, and thrive—schedule an appointment with me today.
I am a LPC in Georgia with a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University with 14 years of experience. I work with adults that are struggling with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders who wish to develop coping skills to achieve more balance in their lives. I assist clients to feel more empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
Congrats on taking the big step to do something different! The most important and fulfilling peace is the one we have within and I want to help you achieve that peace. I offer a supportive, client-centered approach to therapy where your voice, needs, and goals are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll find me engaged, compassionate, and genuinely present with you in each session. We'll work together to create a path forward that feels right for you, at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
I bring a strong foundation of experience in supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health challenges. Over time, I’ve developed a particular passion for working with anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and offering specialized care through Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, an evidence-based approach that can bring real relief and change.
In addition to anxiety and OCD, I also support clients navigating life transitions and the stress that can come with them. My approach includes building practical coping skills, managing stress, reframing unhelpful thought patterns, and gently challenging negative behaviors. I also integrate helpful online self-guided resources to support your progress between sessions.
Taking the first step toward change can be the hardest and the most courageous. I'm here to walk alongside you, and I truly look forward to supporting you on your journey!
I have been practicing psychotherapy part-time for about 30 years while I was a full-time college professor at the University of Miami, The University of Tennessee at Martin, and Middle Georgia State University. Since 2023, I decided to retire from Higher Education and practice full-time as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Macon, GA. Every time I meet with a client, I consider it a "holy" moment when someone allows me to enter into their inner space and I can share some of mine to establish a genuine connection with a fellow sojourner.
I have been in the field for about 12 years now. Along with being an Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a Master Addictions Counselor and an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. I've run the gamut of variations in my mental health career: program manager, clinical supervisor, community trainer, policy advisor. Each variation informs my style in direct care. I live in the woods on a small hold farm and when I'm not in session, I am usually either splitting wood or working in the garden.
My name is Amanda Chilleme, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as a Master’s Certified Addiction Professional. For over 11 years, I have supported individuals in identifying what truly matters to them, navigating obstacles, and building a foundation for a more fulfilling future.
My primary specialty is working with men and women struggling with substance use disorders as well as process and behavioral addictions, helping them find a pathway to a life that feels less burdened and more aligned. I also have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, grief and bereavement, trauma, attachment concerns, and personality disorders.
As a clinician, I take a human-focused approach. I am not here to tell you what you need to work on—you already know the what. My role is to help you understand the why, and ultimately the how: how to shift it, heal it, overcome it, or, when appropriate, let it go altogether.
Your first session is best described as a two-way interview. As I listen to your story and your narrative begins to take shape, we collaboratively determine two things:
Whether I am the right therapist for you, and
Whether this therapeutic relationship is the right fit for both of us.
If we decide to move forward together, identifying your goals becomes your first assignment. This process allows me to better understand how you think, how you interpret challenges, and how barriers such as stress, anxiety, depression, or relationship dynamics show up for you. From there, we focus on one goal at a time.
I see myself as your coach, teammate, and cheerleader!
Whether you are just beginning therapy or have been on this journey for some time, I invite you to plant that seed—and see just how beautifully you grow.

We all need support in dealing with life's challenges, but sometimes just asking for help can feel as overwhelming as the problems for which we are seeking support. I provide a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with other therapeutic modalities, including Brainspotting (which is a tool to access neurobiological trauma experiences that are stored deep within the subcortical brain). I’m a therapist who helps you remember who you are beneath the self-doubt, survival patterns, and old stories. My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we reconnect with the parts of ourselves we’ve had to hide or silence—especially the inner child. I work at the intersection of self-worth, spirituality, and soul-aligned growth, supporting clients in finding clarity, confidence, and deeper meaning.
I specialize in working with those who feel like they’ve spent a lifetime holding it all together while feeling unseen or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are navigating transitions—whether it’s stepping into adulthood, breaking generational cycles, leaving behind people-pleasing, or exploring who they are beyond roles and expectations. If you’ve ever felt like you're constantly performing, second-guessing yourself, or longing to feel safe in your truth, you’re not alone.
In our work together, I draw from evidence-based therapies like Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and somatic practices, while also incorporating space for spiritual exploration, ancestral healing, and intuitive insight. I honor each client’s cultural, emotional, and energetic experiences and believe in co-creating a space where all parts of you are welcome.

Hello, I am Shaqueena. Are you tired of being tired? Do you feel that no one understands your situation or that no one can relate? Are you unsure if therapy is right for you?
If you are here, then that means that you are ready and motivated to make some changes in your life. Seeking help can sometimes be tough, which is why I believe that we all experience things in our life that goes beyond our ability to cope and when that happens we need a little more assistance.
As a licensed professional counselor, my ultimate goal is to first normalize seeking assistance by decreasing the stigma on mental health. In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it.
My preference for treatment is to utilize a trauma-informed approach in addition to CBT, EMDR and Choice/Reality Therapy.

Have you tried therapy before and walked away feeling misunderstood? Have you worried that you wouldn't be able to share everything about yourself in session, fearing judgement? When we don’t fit the norms around us, it’s pretty easy for anxiety and depression to wreak havoc on our mental health and self-esteem, making it more difficult to feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable.
Having struggled with alienation myself, I’ve gravitated to helping people who experience this too. Although this can be something anyone goes through, I often find myself supporting people who are neurodiverse, LGBQTA+, ethically nonmonogamous, those with “alternative” faiths, and teens. In addition to supporting specific identities, I help people reduce their stress and anxiety, adjust to uncomfortable changes, climb out of depression, and build the confidence, insight, and judgment they need to improve themselves to impact their life.
I pride myself on creating a safe, comfortable environment where you can express yourself freely, so we both learn more about who you are and what you need.
Whether we work together or not, I'm really glad you're taking the time to consider therapy and care for yourself <3
I am eclectic with my therapy approach and start with where you are at and what best suits you! I often work with clients dealing with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, or people coping with change. I’m body positive and LGBTQ+ friendly. I hope you will be able to find Ease to Flourish in your day to day experiences and find what can bring you joy.
