I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion, honesty, and practical support. I’ve worked in community mental health, integrated healthcare, schools, and leadership roles, giving me a broad understanding of how emotional, physical, and life stressors affect overall well-being. I specialize in working with teens, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and behavioral challenges. I also have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health, supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the emotional adjustments that can come with growing a family. In addition, I have experience supporting individuals and caregivers coping with chronic illness, cancer, and other significant health challenges, recognizing the connection between emotional and physical wellness. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself while we work together toward meaningful change. I believe therapy should be collaborative, empowering, and tailored to your individual needs. Whether you’re seeking coping skills, healing from difficult experiences, or support during a challenging season of life, I’m here to help you build resilience, strengthen your confidence, and move forward with hope. Life can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. My role is to meet you where you are, help you discover your strengths, and equip you with the tools to create lasting, meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and that’s completely understandable. During our first session, my priority is getting to know you, not just the challenges you’re facing, but also your strengths, values, and what matters most to you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you have about the process. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you, creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. By the end of our first session, we’ll have a better understanding of where you are, where you’d like to go, and how we can work together to help you get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

believe one of my greatest strengths is creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. I balance compassion with honesty, offering encouragement while gently challenging clients to recognize their strengths and make meaningful progress toward their goals. With nearly 20 years of experience in community mental health and integrated behavioral healthcare, I understand how emotional, physical, and life experiences are connected. I tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, whether they’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, perinatal mental health concerns, chronic illness, or caregiving. My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you build resilience, develop effective coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is primarily focused on adults, though I also welcome teens seeking support. I enjoy working with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for something to change. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, managing stress or anxiety, coping with grief, adjusting to a medical diagnosis, or facing relationship or family challenges, therapy can provide a space to heal and grow. I also enjoy supporting individuals during pregnancy, the postpartum period, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the transition to parenthood. If you’re ready to invest in yourself and are looking for a supportive, collaborative therapist, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns, understand how they affect your emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier ways of coping. Together, we’ll build practical skills you can use in everyday life to reduce stress, manage anxiety, and feel more in control.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore your goals, strengthen your confidence, and work through uncertainty or ambivalence about change. Rather than telling you what to do, I’ll help you discover what motivates you and support you in making changes that feel right for you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to help you better manage intense emotions, improve relationships, cope with stress, and stay grounded during difficult moments. Together, we’ll build practical tools that support emotional balance and resilience.

Faith based therapy

For clients who desire it, I offer faith-based counseling that thoughtfully integrates Christian values and beliefs into the therapeutic process. Whether you’re seeking guidance, healing, or encouragement, we’ll incorporate your faith in a way that aligns with your personal beliefs and goals while honoring your unique journey.

Interpersonal

I use Interpersonal Therapy to help you improve relationships, navigate life transitions, process grief, and strengthen communication skills. Together, we’ll explore how your relationships affect your emotional well-being and develop healthier ways to connect with others.
