About me

Hello! I’m a Licensed Therapist. I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I finally connected with my purpose. Therapy truly is my heart job. Even before becoming a therapist, I was the person my friends would call when they needed someone to talk to, someone to listen, or someone to help them work through a difficult situation. I’ve experienced my own trauma and difficult seasons, so I understand that sometimes life can feel heavy, overwhelming, and confusing. Becoming a teen mom was a turning point in my life. I knew I wanted more for myself and my family, and I wanted to create a different future. I went to college with the goal of healing, growing, and learning how to help others do the same. Today, I’m passionate about helping people find their purpose, work through the things that have been holding them back, reach their goals, and build healthy and supportive relationships. I want my clients to feel comfortable being their real, authentic selves without fear of judgment. I believe in **practicing what I preach**. If I’m asking you to try something, challenge yourself, set a boundary, or look at something differently, it’s because I believe in the process and understand that change can be uncomfortable. Most importantly, I believe **we all have answers within us**. Sometimes life, trauma, fear, or circumstances make it difficult to see them. My role is to help you uncover those answers, recognize your strengths, and find your way forward. You don't have to have it all figured out. We can figure it out together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

**What will clients get from their first session?** Clients can expect a safe, welcoming space where they can begin sharing their story at their own pace. I’ll start by introducing myself and sharing a little about who I am and my approach to therapy so you can feel comfortable getting to know me as well. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re currently experiencing, and what you hope to get from our work together. Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and comfortable knowing that therapy is a space where you can be yourself without judgment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring empathy, authenticity, and the ability to truly listen without judgment. I meet each client where they are and take the time to understand their unique experiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My sessions are warm, supportive, and focused on helping clients feel comfortable enough to be honest and vulnerable. I want clients to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and empowered to take the next step forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

**Describe your ideal client** My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their life. I enjoy working with clients who may be navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, so I value clients who are willing to explore, grow, and work toward becoming the best version of themselves. Most importantly, I want every client to feel safe, heard, and supported throughout their journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT because it's one of the most effective and well-researched treatment methods for a number of mental health issues. I also practice CBT on myself because I don't believe in asking others to try things if I haven't tried them myself. As skeptical as I've been in the past, I learned that these methods WORK!

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach because I believe healing begins with feeling safe, heard, and understood. This approach works because it helps clients build trust, recognize how past experiences may be affecting their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships, and develop healthier ways of responding. Rather than focusing only on what is happening, we explore what may be underneath it and work together to create meaningful change. By meeting clients where they are and moving at a pace that feels comfortable, clients can feel more empowered, develop effective coping skills, and build confidence in their ability to move forward.

Sex Therapy

**Explain how you use this treatment method in your practice.** I use a sex therapy approach to help clients feel comfortable having open and honest conversations about intimacy, relationships, communication, and sexual concerns. I provide a safe and judgment-free space where clients can explore their experiences, beliefs, emotions, and relationship patterns without shame or embarrassment. This approach can be helpful because sexual concerns are often connected to communication, self-esteem, stress, past experiences, or relationship dynamics. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, communicate their needs, strengthen intimacy, and develop healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

Play Therapy

**Explain how you use this treatment method in your practice.** I use play therapy to help clients express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in ways that feel natural and comfortable to them. While play therapy is often associated with children, creative and expressive techniques can also be effective with adults who may find it easier to process emotions through activities rather than simply talking about them. I use games, creative expression, storytelling, and other therapeutic activities to help clients explore emotions, build trust, and work through difficult experiences. This approach works because it allows clients to engage with therapy in a way that feels less intimidating while building emotional awareness, coping skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence.
