Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep.
I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people.
I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.

Hi, I’m Shari. With more than 26 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor, I believe every person has inherent worth that exists beyond their struggles, diagnoses, or life circumstances. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to seeing people through mercy and grace, recognizing dignity beyond dysfunction, strength alongside suffering, and hope even in life's most difficult seasons. These principles shape how I understand each client's story and guide the therapeutic relationship we build together.
I recognize that many of the ways people cope with anxiety, trauma, grief, or life's challenges began as creative ways to survive difficult circumstances. Rather than defining people by their symptoms or past experiences, I seek to understand their unique story, honor the resilience that has carried them this far, and help them build healthier patterns that support lasting healing and growth.
I also believe spirituality is a source of meaning, hope, and resilience that is distinct from religious beliefs or practices. Whether you identify as religious, spiritual, both, or neither, I respect your values and will thoughtfully incorporate them into therapy only if they are important to you.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and evidence-based. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, caregiver stress, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you gain insight, build practical coping skills, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I has been working in the therapeutic field for well over 20 yrs. with experience in all areas of the field. I have experience working with the court system, having worked directly with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Corrections and Department of Children and Families. II have experience conducting groups, which included substance abuse, anger management and depression and anxiety. My areas of work include: residential setting, crisis stabilization units, school setting, in-home setting, inpatient settings.
I works with different age groups from individual therapy to couples counseling, incorporating different modalities to meet the clients unique needs. Her experience includes processing adjustment challenges, life transitions, communication, anxiety, trauma therapy, family issues, emotional regulation, relationship concerns and couples counseling.
It takes time and work to see the change you want to see and therapeutic intervention can help you achieve your goals". I work with my clients from an empathetic and nonjudgmental perspective to help them improve resilience, independence, decision-making, and life competence.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida with 4 years of experience supporting people through crisis, major life transitions, and the process of healing from trauma. My background includes working closely with veterans, adolescents, and trauma-impacted individuals, which has given me a deep appreciation for the unique challenges and strengths that each person brings to therapy. I use a strengths-based and client-centered approach, focusing on resilience and building on what is already working well in a client’s life. In our sessions, my goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I strive to walk alongside clients as they discover new coping strategies, heal from past experiences, and move toward personal growth and well-being.
I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, Georgia and Utah. I have worked within the mental health field for over 20 years. I specialize in stress management and anxiety. I believe with the right support and guidance many can learn new healthy coping skills that will assist in decreasing symptoms we all possess in response to daily stressors. I have also worked in assisting those who have transitioned from their family of faith and have been able to guide them in learning how to move forward from the shame that is often associated with the transition.
I’m a therapist who helps queer and straight individuals and couples strengthen their relationships and deepen their emotional connection. My work is rooted in trauma-informed, emotion-focused, and strength-based approaches that honor your unique experiences and goals. I create a safe, collaborative space where healing and growth feel possible—so you can build the kind of relationships and life that truly support your well-being.
Welcome — I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve spent a long time feeling misunderstood, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or unsure how to move forward.
Many of my clients come to therapy struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, self-worth issues, attachment wounds, or feeling disconnected from themselves and the people around them. Some are navigating conflict, betrayal, burnout, identity concerns, or simply feeling “stuck” despite trying hard to hold everything together.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, understood, and challenged in a healthy way. I take a compassionate but active approach to therapy — helping clients not only process emotions, but also understand their patterns, regulate their nervous system, and build practical tools for lasting change.
You do not have to figure everything out alone.
I'm a mental health therapist who is passionate about helping individuals gain deeper insight into themselves and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives. My work is grounded primarily in psychodynamic therapy, which means I focus on helping clients uncover and understand unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and internal conflicts that influence how they think, feel, and behave today. I believe that by bringing these deeper dynamics into awareness, people can begin to heal from past wounds and build more fulfilling lives and relationships.
In addition to psychodynamic therapy, I integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in managing present-day symptoms and building practical coping skills. CBT allows us to identify and challenge distorted thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. We work together to reshape those thoughts and develop healthier behaviors that promote emotional well-being. ACT helps clients relate differently to their internal experiences by fostering mindfulness, acceptance, and alignment with personal values, encouraging them to take meaningful action even in the face of difficult emotions.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Whether someone is struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, self-doubt, or a sense of feeling stuck, I work to create a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we explore the roots of their struggles while also building the tools they need to thrive in the present and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Hello and welcome! My name is Claudia and I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) counselor with an eclectic approach geared toward your individualized needs. I strive to empathically listen to narratives, within a nonjudgmental positive regard stance to best support you through self-discovery, generational healing, and values exploration.
I specialize in C-PTSD/Trauma Stress, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Neurodivergence. As a multicultural competent counselor, I am always updating and educating myself with laws/ ethical considerations, social movements, and the needs of the discriminated, oppressed and marginalized community.
I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

I believe that we all have the capacity and ability to make healthy, positive changes and during my career I have been honored to be a part of supporting and assisting others in becoming more of the person they want to be. I have the good fortune of loving what I do and I'm passionate about what therapy can do to help us.

Hi, I am Dr. Rolanda Harris. I hold a Doctorate in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Alabama and Florida, as well as a Qualified Supervisor in Florida. I am the owner of Intentional Counseling and Consulting, LLC. I have 24 years of experience supporting and empowering individuals to navigate and cope with life's challenges. I am an intentional counselor who proactively plans my interactions and interventions based on a clear understanding of your situation and desired outcomes. I aim to understand your needs, strengths, and values to create a personalized plan that aligns with your goals and fosters positive change. Intention is more than wishful thinking; it is willful direction.
As an intentional counselor, I have had the privilege of working with chronically and terminally ill patients and their families, supporting them as they manage the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual impact of their illness. I have experience working with college students needing support adjusting to college life, building confidence, navigating social situations, and managing stress and anxiety. I have spent years walking with bereaved individuals as they process intense emotions, attempt to understand the grieving process, and find meaning after loss. It has been an honor to support elderly individuals managing grief, the fear of mortality and aging, adapting to retirement, addressing social isolation, and experiencing a range of mental health challenges. I have also had the pleasure of supporting single mothers as they navigate the emotional impact of motherhood, mental health issues, financial stress, and building a support system.
In my practice, I do not rely solely on one specific theory, but rather draw upon different theoretical perspectives. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Reminiscence Therapy, and Grief Therapy.
My work encompasses individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, manage or improve addictive behavior, emotional dysregulation and life transitions (including women's issues). My work is informed by formal training in EMDR as well as, traditional talk therapy with a strong foundation in CBT and DBT—but therapy with me isn’t about rigid techniques or worksheets for the sake of it.
I focus on helping clients understand why patterns exist, not just how to manage symptoms. EMDR allows us to work at the root level and utilize the integration of traditional talk therapy with CBT and DBT. Cognitive and Dialectical behavioral therapies provide practical tools for navigating daily life such as, mindfulness practices and working to defeat cognitive distortions that impact our relationships. I integrate these approaches thoughtfully, adapting the work to the person in front of me rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all model.
Clients often describe my style as direct, solution focused, collaborative, and grounded. The bond that is created between us is the most important, and I believe meaningful change happens when therapy feels both safe, person centered and honest—where insight leads to action, and healing is something we actively build together.
I’m a licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals who are struggling with depression and anxiety. I understand how isolating and overwhelming it can feel to navigate these challenges, and how much courage it takes to seek support. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and genuinely supported.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion and grounded in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also bring extensive experience in grief work, helping clients move through loss and life transitions with care and understanding.
For those who desire it, I’m able to integrate a Christian perspective into our work together. Whether it’s drawing strength from faith, exploring spiritual questions, or grounding our sessions in biblical principles, I honor and support each client’s individual beliefs and values.
Healing is a deeply personal journey, and I believe that with the right support, you can overcome what feels impossible today. Together, we’ll work to ease the weight of anxiety or depression, develop meaningful coping strategies, and help you reconnect with hope, purpose, and inner peace.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and reside in Texas, I am also licensed in Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Utah, South Carolina, and Vermont. I specialize in helping you identify and overcome issues that hinder your day-to-day enjoyment of life and/or interfere with progress towards goals you have set. In over thirty years of private practice counseling I have learned to meet clients’ needs not only with continued education and research but also through a multitude of life experiences. I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and have found that humor when utilized in an appropriate way and time can be very beneficial.
I believe trust is a fundamental element in any relationship. This trust has to be developed and nurtured to remain genuine. Through trust other aspects important to the relationship can prosper such as comfort in being open, sincerity, and a willingness to change. I find that humor when utilized in an appropriate way and time can be very beneficial. I am a life-long Texan, however, I have traveled extensively and embraced many different cultures and location specific issues. Through all of life’s changes I have learned that, even with the best of plans, things still do not always work out the way we would like. I have experienced many of the same issues as my clients so can relate to them on a personal basis. This has also allowed me to acquire an understanding of what clients may be going through even if I have not experienced the exact situation. Through any adversity there is no reason to feel alone.

Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison.
It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking.
One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.
