I bring extensive experience in social work, having worked with a wide range of populations across different settings. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My work has included engaging with diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and age groups, which has strengthened my ability to adapt my approach and connect meaningfully with each person I work with. I believe that every individual’s story matters, and I approach therapy with empathy, curiosity, and respect. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. It’s normal to feel a mix of emotions—curiosity, nerves, or even uncertainty—and all of that is welcome here. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help guide the conversation in a way that feels supportive and manageable. I’ll also ask some background questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and any patterns that may be impacting your well-being. This helps me get a clearer picture of how to best support you. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what meaningful progress might look like for you. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and make sure you feel comfortable with the process moving forward. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard. By the end of our time, you should have a better sense of what working together will feel like and how therapy can support you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in both insight and practical change. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method—our work will be tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and pace. At the core of my style is creating a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, and consistency. I aim to provide a space where you feel safe to be open, while also feeling supported enough to explore difficult emotions or experiences that may have been avoided or overwhelming in the past. I integrate elements from evidence-based practices, focusing on helping you understand the “why” behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also equipping you with tools to manage them more effectively. This often includes: Increasing self-awareness and emotional insight Identifying and shifting unhelpful patterns or beliefs Developing healthier coping strategies Improving communication and relationship dynamics Building resilience and emotional regulation skills My style is warm, engaged, and interactive. I’m not a silent therapist—I will ask thoughtful questions, offer reflections, and gently challenge you when needed to help you grow. At the same time, I respect your pace and will never push you beyond what feels manageable. I also bring a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens to my work, recognizing how life experiences, identity, and environment shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. This allows me to meet you where you are, without assumptions or judgment. Ultimately, my goal is to help you not only navigate current challenges but to build a deeper sense of self-understanding and confidence that extends beyond our sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I find my work most meaningful when supporting both individuals and couples as they navigate growth, healing, and connection. With individuals, I value the opportunity to help clients deepen self-awareness, process life experiences, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. With couples, I’m drawn to the dynamic of working with both partners to improve communication, rebuild trust, and better understand the patterns that shape their relationship. Whether I’m working one-on-one or with a couple, I focus on creating a balanced, supportive space where each person feels heard and respected. My goal is to help individuals strengthen their sense of self while also helping couples foster more secure, connected, and intentional relationships.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as a structured, evidence-based approach to help clients process and make sense of difficult or traumatic experiences. Through this work, I support clients in identifying and challenging unhelpful beliefs—often referred to as “stuck points”—that may be keeping them feeling overwhelmed, unsafe, or stuck. Together, we examine how these thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, and gradually work toward developing more balanced, adaptive perspectives. My use of CPT is collaborative and paced to each client’s readiness, ensuring that the process feels both supportive and empowering while promoting meaningful, lasting change.
