New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in medical social work and leadership. I have supported individuals and families through a broad range of life's challenges with compassion and practical guidance. My experience has shaped my ability to understand both personal and systemic stressors that impact well-being. As a military veteran, I bring a grounded, resilient perspective to my work. I've also been married for 30 years and am a parent to three adopted children who are now young adults - experiences that deeply inform my appreciation for family dynamics, transitions, and the complexities or relationships. I enjoy spending time outdoors and value balance, connection, and growth. In therapy, I strive to create a safe and genuine space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
During our first session we will review what to expect from the therapy process. I will ask questions about your history, including personal, family, and medical background, to better understand your current situation. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy and why now. How are your current challenges are affecting your day to day life and relationships? We will begin the process of identifying what you want to get from therapy. My goal is to create a warm and inviting safe space where your goals and needs are the focus.
My passion as a therapist is to create an authentically supportive and gentle environment where you can safely explore your concerns. I bring a warm curiosity to our sessions, using a collaborative approach to help you gain insight and make meaningful changes. I believe in fostering a genuine partnership to support your personal growth."
I currently support adults with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and burnout, especially those navigating high-pressure environments or demanding roles. I value working with clients who are open to self-reflection and committed to making changes in their lives. Sessions are focused on developing insight, strengthening coping skills, and supporting meaningful, lasting progress.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
With Acceptance and Commitment Therapy we will work together on identifying areas in your life where you feel stuck or in repetitive patterns. We'll explore the values that matter most to you and support you in taking meaningful steps toward growth and living in alignment with those values, even in the presence of difficult thoughts and emotions.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we'll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and influence your daily experiences. Together, we'll build practical skills to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and create lasting changes that support improved mood, coping, and overall well-being.
Eclectic
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based methods to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. This flexible style allows us to adapt our work together in a way that best supports your growth, healing, and overall well-being.
