Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 23 years of experience helping individuals, couples and families throughout California. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, existential, systems and attachment-based approaches, I help clients reclaim their lives and find their joy. I've had extensive post-graduate training and experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety and depression as well as family and couples issues. My specialties include Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Panic Disorder.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session together, we'll start by talking about the issues bringing you into therapy, your developmental history, current life circumstances and past experiences in therapy, if any. We'll talk in detail about your goals for therapy and I'll propose an initial treatment approach. Once we've established your goals and treatment, we'll put them into a formal treatment plan which will guide our work together. We'll update the treatment plan regularly and make any necessary adjustments. We can update the treatment approach anytime as well.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to work with clients throughout my 23-year career. CBT is a powerful approach to treating depression, anxiety, trauma and many other disorders that benefit from harnessing the interplay of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I create Exposure Response Prevention programs to help clients manage anxiety disorders, particularly Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Panic Disorder. ERP is an extraordinary tool to confront fears, break the cycle of anxiety, and regain control over your life.

Existential

Existential psychotherapy serves as a powerful framework in my practice. It enables clients to explore the many ways the profound questions of life — freedom and responsibility, isolation, meaninglessness, and death — impact their lives, emotions, and behavior.

Couples Counseling

I work with a diverse range of partners, including LGBTQIA2S+ couples. With a collaborative, empathic approach, I help couples navigate challenges, strengthen their bond, and deepen their relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness-based therapy into my practice to empower clients in various aspects of their lives. Through mindfulness techniques, we enhance attention, emotional centering, acceptance, and healing, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling way of living.
