I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in providing Telehealth therapy to individuals, couples, and families. My approach is collaborative and supportive, focusing on helping patients navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. Using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I tailor sessions to meet your unique needs and empower you to achieve greater emotional well-being and meaningful connections in your life. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported throughout your therapeutic journey

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they can share their story and begin to explore their goals for therapy. The session is designed to help us get to know each other and lay the foundation for a collaborative therapeutic relationship. We typically begin with introductions and a discussion about what brought the client to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand their current challenges, emotional well-being, and any specific concerns they want to address. This may include exploring aspects of their personal history, relationships, and daily life to provide a comprehensive picture of their experiences. During the session, I also take time to explain my approach to therapy and answer any questions the client may have. Together, we will discuss what they hope to achieve in therapy, and I will outline a potential path forward, including strategies or methods we might use. The first session is not about diving into solutions immediately but rather about building trust and ensuring the client feels comfortable and heard. Clients can expect to leave the session with a better understanding of what therapy will look like and a sense of clarity about the next steps in their journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where patients feel genuinely heard and valued. I excel at building strong therapeutic relationships, which serve as the foundation for effective and meaningful work. One of my key strengths is my adaptability. I tailor my approach to meet each patient’s unique needs, preferences, and circumstances, ensuring that therapy feels relevant and personalized. Whether working with individuals or couples, I am skilled at identifying underlying patterns and guiding patients toward practical solutions that align with their goals. Additionally, I bring a calm and empathetic presence to sessions, which helps patients feel safe exploring vulnerable emotions and difficult topics. My ability to foster trust and connection enables patients to open up and engage deeply in the therapeutic process. Another strength is my commitment to evidence-based practices while remaining flexible and creative in applying them. I incorporate a range of techniques and interventions, drawing from my expertise to ensure therapy is both effective and meaningful. Lastly, I prioritize collaboration, empowering patients to take an active role in their healing journey. By fostering a partnership, I help patients build resilience, develop new skills, and create lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In practice, I use CBT to help patients identify and challenge cognitive distortions that contribute to their distress. For instance, I guide them in recognizing patterns of all-or-nothing thinking, catastrophizing, or overgeneralizing, which often exacerbate feelings of anxiety or depression. Together, we work on reframing these thoughts into more balanced and constructive perspectives. CBT sessions often include structured techniques such as thought records, behavioral experiments, and role-playing to practice new coping skills. For anxiety, I incorporate exposure exercises to gradually desensitize patients to feared situations, paired with relaxation strategies like deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation. For depression, I focus on activity scheduling to reintroduce pleasurable and meaningful activities into their routine. A hallmark of CBT in my practice is collaboration and empowerment. I emphasize skill-building so patients can continue applying these strategies independently outside of therapy. This approach aligns with the evidence-based principles of CBT, fostering resilience and long-term well-being.
