I’m trained in DV/IPV, Forensic Assessments and EMDR and am a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider and Trauma Professional. My treatment experience includes mood, personality and psychotic disorders as well as sex offender evaluations and treatment. I also have court room experience as an expert witness and have provided legal consultation. Maybe you haven’t tried anything yet. Maybe you feel like you’ve tried it all. You may possibly not even know where to start. Getting back on track doesn’t have to be difficult however. It also doesn’t have to be awkward and you don’t have to do it alone. Let me help you get back on the path towards success. Forget everything you thought you knew about therapy and come learn how to reinvent yourself in an engaging and collaborative environment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In order to help tailor treatment aimed at meeting your needs our first session will focus on both rapport building and identifying the challenges you currently face.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Because I work both inpatient and in the community I have to be extremely flexible, creative and versatile. One of my greatest strengths is being able to listen so that I can identify treatment that is tailored to meet your needs.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Because I specialize in trauma informed treatment I use several modals aimed at helping clients shift their focus to the here and now. The development of psychological flexibility to include acceptance of daily, situational and environmental stressors is used to help clients adapt and move forward in a more stable and meaningful manner.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive flexibility is a pivotal part of dealing with the things life throws at us. CBT has been a huge part of my txt over the last 8-years with patients both in a hospital setting and in the community. I work with you, the client to identify thoughts in support of interfering behaviors and unhealthy cognitions so that clients can make more appropriate decisions about their overall health, wellbeing and functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

A key necessity to gaining cognitive flexibility is distress tolerance. Helping increase one’s ability to manage stressors by increasing healthy coping skills is a huge part of DBT and successful treatment. It also allows for the introduction of more advanced treatment options such as ACT and EMDR.

Couples Counseling

I have 6-years experience helping clients regain trust, understanding and pro-social communication skills. These are some of the key foundations of a strong healthy relationship. I use various treatment modalities to guide couples through challenges they face and have faced to help restore balance and confidence and decrease distrust and conflict.
