First session
Your first session is all about getting to know you and understanding your mental health needs. We’ll talk about your history, current concerns, and what you hope to get out of care. Together, we’ll start to explore a plan that may include therapy, medication management, lifestyle strategies, or other resources to support your well-being. This session is also your opportunity to ask questions and share what’s important to you. It’s just as important that you feel comfortable with your provider. If you feel I may not be the right fit, that’s completely okay. Finding the right support is a key part of your journey to better mental health. The goal of this session is for you to feel heard, supported, and empowered as we start this process together.
Strengths
As a Psychiatric Provider, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and respected. I listen empathetically and take the time to understand your unique experiences, needs, and goals. My approach is comprehensive and collaborative, and I’m passionate about helping you feel empowered to take an active role in your recovery. Building a trusting, non-judgmental relationship is very important to me, because your comfort and confidence in your care matter.
Ideal clients
I work best with clients who are ready to take an active role in their mental health and well-being. I support people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood changes, or life transitions. I’m straightforward and honest, but also empathetic and supportive, helping you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we’ll focus on coping skills, relief, and personal growth in a safe and welcoming space.
Treatment methods
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their goals and overcome ambivalence about change. By creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment, I guide clients to identify their own motivations, build confidence, and take actionable steps toward lasting change. My approach emphasizes listening, reflection, and collaboration, empowering each person to move forward at their own pace.
Supportive
I provide a caring and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. My approach focuses on building resilience, enhancing coping skills, and helping clients navigate challenges with confidence and encouragement.
Psychoeducation
I help clients understand their mental health, learn practical coping strategies, and gain the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. By increasing self-awareness and understanding, I empower clients to actively participate in their own growth and healing.
