Dr. Betina Wofford-Gilmore
Greetings and congratulations on taking the first step towards change. My name is Dr. Betina Wofford-Gilmore and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and/or your loved one. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
Some of the therapeutic modalities used in treatment include cognitive-behavioral therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, EMDR, somatic experiencing, narrative and art therapies.
My goal is to provide a warm and welcoming therapy environment that allows clients to feel at ease with processing life's challenges.
First session
Our initial session will be focused on introductions, motivation for treatment, and specific challenges and goals you hope to accomplish in therapy. From this discussion I will be able to create a plan of care that will guide our work in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
My experience has provided the opportunity to encounter and specialize in a broad range of situations: including depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, life changes, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, trauma, and foster care/ adoption related issues.
