Hello! Welcome to Heart Space Counseling. I have been providing counseling services for over 20 years. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My desire with every client is to help you obtain the desires of your heart. I specialize in helping all Women (mothers, wives, working female professionals) develop better relationships, manage anxiety, depression, and trauma, build better coping skills and simply provide support for the day-to-day challenges women encounter.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
After a first session with me, a client will have an understanding of the purpose of therapy and establish some rapport. My goal is to get an understanding of my client's needs and goals. During ongoing sessions, the client will take away different strategies to manage any issues discussed for that week/session. The client will hopefully achieve a sense of hope and competency to change the things in life that prevent them from being and living their best life.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
My techniques involve using mindfulness and body awareness. I aim to address the "whole self" which means tapping into the mind, body and spirit. I feel that all are interconnected and should be explored in therapy. I also provide faith-based counseling, trauma-focused and Cognitive Behavior Therapy which focuses on how our thoughts can affect our behaviors. I like to incorporate activities and make sessions enjoyable and at times psychoeducational.

I tend to find and build on my client's strengths while working on the tough parts of their life. I have a down-to-earth, non-judgmental personality that makes clients feel open to engaging in therapy,
