Hi there, I'm Rosa Linda! I am a Clinician with over 15 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families. I am passionate about supporting my clients and helping them better understand the issues they are dealing with. I love helping people and am empathetic and realistic when helping client set and identify treatment goals. I really enjoy helping others feel empowered by teaching them coping strategies and tools they can utilize and carry with them for support lifelong.
In our first session, clients can expect to hear and learn more about me. They can expect to share more about themselves and the reasons they are engaging in counseling services. We will discuss any safety concerns or issues the client may be experiencing. We will also discuss what the client is hoping to gain from therapy and how together we can achieve those goals.
My strengths as a therapist include the ability to give clients a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic space to express their feelings, difficulties and life challenges. As well as my focus to build a supportive therapeutic relationship with my clients.
I have worked with a variety of clients to address a variety of client needs. I have worked with clients needing low to high levels of care. I have supported clients with issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, life transitions and relationship issues. I am comfortable supporting clients with a variety of issues as described.
I have worked with clients struggling from various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, life changes, by helping them understand how negative thinking and fundamental core beliefs can effect how they feel and the things they do. I strive to work together with clients to identify and challenge the negative thinking patterns to help reduce symptoms and increase a client’s overall well-being.
Strength-based therapy focuses on recognizing clients as resourceful and resilient when faced with adversity and obstacles in life. If you struggle to identify your own strengths, we will work together to help you identify and recognize your strengths. Together, I hope we can work through any past trauma or difficulties in your life from a place of strength and resilience.
I am trained to provide Culturally Sensitive support services by identifying and taking into account client's cultural ideas and values which can play an important role in how clients react to and overcome life stressors and challenges. I am bicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish.
