(she/her)
Hello there! I’m Sherri, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, CA. I have over 15 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings throughout Los Angeles, supporting adults through life’s challenges with compassion and understanding. I’m passionate about helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress develop healthier coping skills, build insight, and identify meaningful, achievable goals. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while creating lasting change. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healing and personal growth journey.
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can feel heard and understood. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin identifying patterns or challenges impacting your life. Together, we’ll create a plan that supports meaningful growth, healing, and lasting change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to combine compassion, practical support, and the use of (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies and greater self-awareness. I help clients not only identify triggers and patterns that may be keeping them stuck, but also recognize the “glimmers” in their lives — the moments, relationships, strengths, and experiences that promote hope, safety, joy, and healing. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative partnership, and I work alongside my clients to help them feel supported, empowered, and capable of reaching their goals while building resilience and lasting emotional growth.
I am best positioned to support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. I work well with clients who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted, but are motivated to develop healthier coping skills, improve relationships, build confidence, and move toward healing and personal growth. My approach is especially helpful for individuals seeking a supportive, collaborative therapeutic relationship where they can feel heard, challenged, and empowered while working toward achievable goals and lasting emotional wellness.

I was very skeptical about going to therapy. I thought it would not help. I tried another therapist before finding Sherri, and I didn't feel like I could open up to them. So, I searched again and found Sherri. My first session with her made me feel I was in a safe space with her. She listened and gave feedback on how to start dealing with what I'm going through . She really made me feel like I was not only seen but heard in my moments of vulnerability.
