Hi there, I'm Alejandra Guerrero. I am a bilingual psychotherapist with 7 years of experience and I hold a California LCSW license #104670. I have also worked in different public serving helping professions for several of years. Resiliency, perseverance, and compassion are skills I have learned from my mother and in my life journey. I have experience overcoming adversity and celebrating individuals with unique challenges. I'm passionate about creating a safe therapeutic space for BIPOC clients.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first session, you should expect me to discuss and review confidentiality and limitations, as this is a fundamental part of building trust. I will be asking tons of questions to get to know you, reason for therapy, and answering your questions. I will provide a safe space for clients to be heard, along with providing validation and empathy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is eclectic, client-centered, and strength-based. I foster a safe and confidential environment where individuals feel empowered to express themselves, respecting diverse and unique perspectives, identities, experiences, and backgrounds. I am committed to creating a sacred space to process with a social-justice oriented framework. My communication style is engaging, personable, and sincere.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Clients that are feeling stuck, numb, or struggle with labeling what they are feeling. I help clients develop the language and deeper understanding of their experiences. To help support them creating more peace, meaning, and joy in their lives. I lead with empowerment, building on the values, strengths, and goals. I also infuse humor and with a creative eclectic mix to support each individual and their situation.
