Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor enjoying what I do. I have been helping people improve their lives for over seven years. I help couples and individuals to navigate different challenges involving romantic, familial and other interpersonal relationship dynamics. I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped so many of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other that keep you in unhealthy cycles.

Treat others the way you want to be treated is the motto I live by. I want to be treated kindly, I want to be heard and I want to feel I matter. This is how I will treat you, without strings or hesitation. I have a story just as you do. I have been lucky to choose a career that has enabled me to know when I need to talk to someone, enabled me to learn and use coping skills that work and has also enabled me to see the beauty through the broken pieces. Growing up I was a nosey child, I always wanted to know the "why", I still do! This personality trait led me on a path where I have been able to meet people from all walks of life, people who seemingly burned every bridge walked over, people with no hope as well as people who just were going through a rough patch. All these individuals have helped me become the person and the therapist I am today. I am truly excited to hear people’s story, restore faith and be the constant in people’s lives. Give me a chance to hear your story, you are not alone!

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) based in Texas. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, and received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. During my undergraduate work I had the opportunity to study abroad in Accra, Ghana. After my ungraduate studies, I stayed in Austin for a while to continue working overnight at a shelter for survivors of sexual and domestic violence for women, children, and transgendered women while answering a 24/7 National Suicide Prevention Hotline. I went on to attain my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston. I spent two additional years in clinical supervision working in hospitals, crisis mobile mental health, and facilitating groups to attain my independent clinical license. Thereafter, I spent time in clinical practice to build expertise to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor providing individual, family, and group therapy. Most recently I have broadened my scope of practice to include my Chemical Dependency Counseling license and Certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In my free time, I enjoy singing, spending time with family and friends, cooking, film, and television. I’m Micheal Franklin, and my journey into therapy began in a blue-collar family where my relatives worked in textile mills, battery plants, and furniture factories. Growing up, I aspired to carve a different path, aiming to be the first in my family to earn a college degree. I graduated from Western Piedmont Community College in Drug and Alcohol Technology and earned an Associate in Arts in 1996. I then continued my education at Gardner-Webb University, obtaining my Bachelor’s in Science in Human Services. Recognizing that the job market wouldn’t provide enough financial stability, I joined the Marines in 1998. During my service, I got married and welcomed a baby boy, which motivated me to seek part-time work with troubled adolescents and teens facing addiction issues. After leaving the Marines in 2003, I worked in a group home for adolescents and later became a Prevention Supervisor for adolescent substance use treatment. I also served as the lead treatment therapist for a Men's Intensive Outpatient Program at the Cognitive Connection in Hickory, NC. My passion for helping others led me to teach parenting classes and collaborate with Child Protective Services. I pursued my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida while gaining experience in Community Mental Health. I also worked in a drug court program for two years. Since becoming licensed in 2014, I have dedicated my career to supporting clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, personality disorders, and life transitions.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS! That is the key!! With 25 years of experience, much research, studying, and face to face experience living and working all over the world, I realized relationships with yourself and with others can make or break our contentment in life! But there are skills to learn to make it happen, skills such as self-awareness, ability to pay attention to the world around us and our own bodies (mindfulness), learning to grieve and let go while embracing change, learning the characteristics of a healthy relationship with others and with ourselves, and accessing our strengths while focusing on the beauty in life. I'd love to walk with you through this process to restore hope.

Fort Lauderdale, IL - Accepting clients in TX

My name is Shavone Marie Williams-Moss, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I entered the field of social work largely because of my family background; I was raised by a single father while my mother struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and could not perform her role as a parent. One day as an adult in my 20's, I saw my mother sitting on a bench on the main street in Kentucky. I welcomed her into my home only to discover she not only suffered from homelessness but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. My mother lived with me for a year, after which she passed away. This situation made me wonder, what if, in her younger years, she would have met someone who was supportive, understanding, kind, selfless, and invested in helping her be the best version of her, she could be. It was then that I decided to enter the Social Work Field. I wanted to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid to those in need.
