Peace and blessings, I'm Tory, I'm a licensed clinical social worker and life coach currently residing in the state of Texas. I have been working in mental health/wellness for 20 years, and served in many roles. I've been working in outpatient therapy for 10 years and currently help the people I work with achieve the desired change they see for themselves. My approach being a strengths based approach gives you an opportunity to change the perspective and narrative of who you are in a way that will empower and facilitate change beyond the session. If you're interested in learning more, lets build!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is totally dedicated to understanding the desired outcomes, or changes you would like to see as a result of our work together. Like any good trip, having a clear understanding of where we going, and what we might see along the way is critical for knowing we are going the right way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my strengths would be my curiosity, intuition, critical thinking, humor, and ability to observe and help build stories/narratives. I used these to help challenge the negative perspectives and ideals while assisting with developing a new story for the people I'm working with.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a solutions focused therapist I help the people I work with become the best versions of themselves. In my experience people have been able to see change early in treatment and build on this change with intentionality to further such. This approach is what I consider to be "organic" and builds hope while moving towards your desired change. This approach is used to address a myriad of issues, as it focuses on your desired outcome.

Strength-Based

When we use a strength based approach the conversation takes a shift that builds hope and motivation for treatment. You no longer build a conversation around the problem, (although it is important) the conversation is centered around the best parts of your self that will be used with intention to create the change you want to see.
