I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-worth challenges, and relationship or attachment concerns. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. My name is Janet Muta and I am a Licensed Clinician with over 17 years of experience in mental health, behavioral issues and relationships. I treat individuals from diverse backgrounds. My approach is treating the whole person because most of the time our problems are the outcome of more than just one thing and when I get to know you I am able to address different issues that could be contributing to that one specific problem. We all experience some difficulties in our lives sometimes and we all cope differently. What works for one person/couple who are experiencing a similar situation may not work for another and so I personalize your treatment to fit you. Being in therapy is like being on a journey, I make sure you are in the driver’s seat and I become your great working GPS, guiding you to your desired destination.
I also hold a degree in finance which sometimes comes handy when helping those who are stressed due to financial needs.
Among the treatment modalities I use are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Parenting, Contingency Management...

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counsellor (LCMHC) currently serving both North and South Carolina. I have utilized my Masters of Counseling in practice for 8 years. I've spent over 12 years as a Protective Services Social Worker and in that time I had the privilege to serve many people in many walks of life. That experience has given me a unique talent for connecting with people. I enjoy assisting older and young adults struggling with life, relationship and career stress, and others just finding it difficult to become the best versions of themselves.
I have been a LCSW for 38 years, providing psychotherapy. I still enjoy seeing people better understanding themselves, and getting to the point where they see more of what they want in their life. Many clients have spoken of my authenticity, which allows them to be comfortable in themselves. I work to empower people so they can feel more capable in accomplishing their needs and goals.
Traumatic experiences are, unfortunately, far more common than many people realize—and their impact can linger in ways that affect how we think, feel, and relate to others. For 16 years I have specialized in helping individuals process and heal from various types of trauma, including interpersonal violence and sexual assault, childhood abuse, and religious trauma. I also provide support for those caring for loved ones with complex medical needs, recognizing the unique form of secondary trauma, chronic stress, and emotional exhaustion that caregiving can bring.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed therapy. I incorporate practical tools for nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and building resilience, while always honoring your pace and your story. You can expect a space where you are believed, respected, and supported.
Healing is possible. Whether you are working through past trauma, navigating the challenges of caregiving, or trying to rebuild trust and stability, there is hope. I would be honored to walk alongside you- not as someone who has all the answers, but as someone who can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and move toward relief.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adults and young adults seeking supportive space to better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges. I also draw on my past experience working with children and teens to help parents strengthen connection and communication.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and engaged, while also being direct when helpful. I believe therapy can be meaningful and challenging without always feeling heavy and I often incorporate appropriate humor, warmth, and a genuine sense of humanity into our work. I use an integrative model that incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Our work often focuses on clarifying values, building coping strategies, improving relationships and making changes that feel realistic. I strive to provide a non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and respected while developing tools they can use in their everyday lives.

I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, chronic stress, and health-related concerns. My approach is warm, compassionate, and integrative. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted—not judged or placed into a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
I draw from psychodynamic, relational, cognitive, solution-focused, and coaching approaches, as well as my background in health coaching and nervous-system regulation. Rather than relying on one particular method, I tailor our work to you: your personality, your history, your goals, and what you need at this point in your life.
I’m especially interested in helping people understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while also developing practical tools for creating meaningful change. My goal is not simply to help you “fix” a problem, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, feel more emotionally grounded, and create a life and relationships that feel more aligned with who you are.
For clients working with me in person, I may also incorporate neurofeedback or BAUD (Bio-Acoustical Utilization Device) therapy when appropriate. These brain-based approaches can complement traditional talk therapy and may be helpful for nervous-system regulation, anxiety, and reducing the emotional intensity associated with difficult or traumatic memories. I see these tools as another way to support the therapeutic process—not a replacement for the relationship and deeper work that happens in therapy.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 15 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I provide a compassionate, collaborative space where clients can feel seen, heard, and empowered to build practical tools for emotional balance and lasting growth. My name is Jessica Scales and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC # 10501) in North Carolina. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have been counseling for over 13 years, with children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 18-30) being my specialty areas. I enjoy helping younger children make sense of the world around them and figure out how to navigate the big emotions they experience daily. With adolescents, I feel it is important to make them feel heard and have a safe space to process past or present trauma, peer-related issues, family stressors, and personal changes and emotions. For young adults, it is important for them to have a safe space to explore life transitions and the emotional and mental stressors or effects that may accompany these changes. I believe in working with each individual in a holistic way, considering all areas of their lives: emotional, physical, spiritual, familial support, personal, environmental, financial, and social. I utilize interventions based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing while incorporating play-based care, faith-based care, and Expressive Arts techniques. The counseling space is the space for individuals to feel safe, heard, and able to process any life circumstances, big or small, without judgment and with unconditional positive regard. I intend to create this safe space for healing and each individual's counseling journey.

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, and have been providing counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families for 15 years in NC. I received my Master's in Community Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University. I enjoy helping individuals learn from their past while focusing on building a present and future that is fulfilling. Past clients have noted that I made them feel heard while still challenging them to grow. I believe counseling is a very active process and requires a team effort. I like for us to set goals, so we know where we are going and when we get there.
These times are urgent. Let us slow down.” ― Bayo Akomolafe
Let's take things one breath at a time, slowing down instead of rushing through the hard parts. I don’t believe in fixing or solving everything all at once in the hopes it does not reoccur. Instead, I offer space for curiosity, vulnerability, and connection, because that’s often where healing begins. Together we’ll practice being with your experiences, not just getting past them.
I work with people facing all kinds of mental health and personal life challenges, and I especially love helping clients untangle old patterns and build new ones that feel more like them. My approach is relational and HUMOROUS, humanistic, honest, warm, and collaborative. I work mostly with teens and adults. Outside of therapy, I’m usually testing a new hairstyle, thrifting, listening to Afrobeats, or walking my dachshund, Winston-Bishop.
I am a licensed clinical therapist in the states of New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Illinois, and Missouri with 10 years of professional clinical work experience. My focus of practice is individual therapy within the adult and adolescent psychiatric population. I have years of experience treating patients experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, mood instability, or anger management.
Welcome — I’m John Dyson, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), based in the foothills of North Carolina.
I want you to take a moment to acknowledge that you’ve already taken the first step toward bettering your mental health. Let’s be honest — starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even scary — sometimes all at once.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore concerns related to anxiety, depression, and self-care. I focus on helping clients build assertive communication skills and healthy boundaries, both with themselves and with others, in ways that support a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Therapy is an opportunity for personal growth in whatever way you're seeking — whether that means navigating specific challenges or building the life you deeply deserve. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m here when you’re ready.
Together, we’ll clarify the challenges you’re facing and identify where you want to be — a month, six months, or a year from now. Then, we’ll explore actionable strategies to help you move forward. You'll leave each session with a clearer understanding of your situation and a set of “next steps” you can begin right away.
There will always be space for feedback and collaboration in our work — including holding each other accountable as we walk this path together.
I am a solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapist, focusing on problem-solving and cognitive reframing. My goal is to empower my patients. My other specialties in working with patients, include training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness techniques, meditation, relaxation, bibliotherapy, music therapy, spiritual counseling, and many more eclectic techniques. Treatment plans are developed with flexibility and care towards a patient’s individual needs and expectations for therapeutic services.

Hi, my name is Tiffany, I love helping others and seeing growth. I bring years of experience working with teens, adults, individuals navigating substance‑related challenges, people connected to military culture, and older adults adjusting to major life transitions. These diverse experiences have shaped my ability to hold space for complex emotions, trauma, resilience, and the unique challenges that come with each stage of life.
I see therapy as a partnership. You bring your courage and your lived experience; I bring my presence, training, and commitment to helping you grow. Together, we create a space where healing feels possible and meaningful change can take root.
