My job is to hold onto hope until my client is able to hold onto it for themselves. I am a listener, encourager, supporter, and confidant. I can support someone that is struggling with the weight of the world on their shoulders, feeling burdened and overwhelmed by life and stress. I can support individuals that are having difficulty connecting with themselves and others. An individual that is having difficulty connecting with themselves and others. Someone that needs help identify problematic behaviors and wants to develop new behaviors and habits. I can offer support for individuals that are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and other mental health issues. I have many years of experience in Mental Health and Substance Use and can offer support, hope and encouragement. I have experience working with adults with dual diagnosis of mental health and substance use. I am able to offer support for military members and their family.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will just be a get to know you session. I may ask what your theme song or go to soundtrack would be. If you are a reader I want to know about your favorite book and why it means so much to you. I may ask for you to talk about your favorite thing in your house and why it is so important to you. I will also check in and see what you want from therapy and how we can work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I use a lot of humor in my session, I think that it can us get to know each other. I tend to be very practical and matter of fact, I try to be very genuine so that my clients feel they are getting a real person not an "expert". My strength is that I can pivot when the need arises, I am not 100% sold on any particular therapeutic perspective so I will work with you to find a technique that works for you.

If you feel stuck in the muck, I would like to offer my help so that you can get unstuck. Searching for who you are and how you fit in the world is a question that I want to help you work through. I want to listen and support clients that haven't always felt understood or care about. I feel that I can offer a place to talk about your troubles and struggles and work towards finding a path that fits your needs and wants.

My therapeutic style is to meet clients in a kind, empathetic manner. I like to focus on their emotional, mental and physical well being. I try to use various styles to make the experience and session more focused on client needs.
