Hi, I’m Anneka. I am a licensed therapist with a warm, down to earth style who believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion without stigmatizing labels. My practice focuses on helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, people pleasing, and self-worth challenges by increasing self-awareness, utilizing CBT and EFT techniques, and offering PREPARE-certified pre marital counseling.
Clients will leave their first session feeling heard, validated, and understood in a gentle, supportive space. They can expect a warm, environment where we move at a safe pace, helping them realize right away that they don't have to carry their heavy burdens alone.
My counseling style is warm, inviting, and down to earth. I bring a genuine commitment to really listening and standing with you through your healing. Rather than relying on stigmatizing labels, my approach focuses on increasing self awareness, challenging negative thoughts and assumptions, unlocking your internal power, and improving affective communication skills using CBT, EFT, and PREPARE pre-marital techniques.
My ideal client is someone who feels emotionally exhausted from overthinking, constantly second guessing themselves, or trying to meet everyone else's expectations. They may be dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, or major life transitions like divorce, career changes, or identity shifts, and they are ready to break out of patterns of people-pleasing and low self-worth to find emotional balance and reconnect with themselves.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you slow down, notice the negative thoughts and assumptions holding you back, and gently challenge them. Together, we look at how these thought patterns affect your emotions and actions, giving you practical tools to break out of cycles like overthinking, people pleasing, and self doubt so you can feel more grounded and confident.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build practical skills for managing intense emotions, coping with stress, and navigating difficult moments without feeling overwhelmed. Together, we focus on finding balance accepting where you are right now while learning effective ways to make positive changes, improve your relationships, and bring more peace and emotional stability into your daily life.
