While progressing along this path, you will enjoy the process of learning about yourself and perceiving yourself in new ways. My experience is that therapy doesn't need to be painful. A Big Hello to you. You are scanning all these profiles. Looking for something to stand out to make you say,"I will go with this one." It is daunting but you have made it this far. Here is the tip. Your choice is not terminal. It is absolutely ok to try multiple therapists to see who gets you the best. Who understands you the best. After each session, you should feel lighter. You may not recall all that was said, but you will note how you feel. Did you feel heard? Understood? Did the therapist talk to me like they were reading a book or did it sound like they really got me? When you get the right one, those questions will be answered with a firm, Yes.
---->Part of individual therapy is talking about friends, partners and loved ones. My training and focus are centered only on heterosexual relationship dynamics.
If you are looking for letters for work, ESA, Social Security, FMLA, Family Court, you will need a psychological evaluation by a forensic psychologist. I am not able to perform assessments, letters for claims or provide appearances in court.
Therapy isn't just about talking. It's about getting results. I offer the kind of therapy which provides my patients with the results that they are seeking.
I am an experienced Psychotherapist (25 years) who is licensed to provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
I am an honors graduate of Northwestern University , The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and The Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. While completing my graduate studies, I was chosen to be mentored by several of the top Family Therapy Theorists in the United States.
I have taught at Northwestern University, as well as, Lake Forest College as a faculty member. I have been a Clinical Fellow at the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy for over 20 years. My goals for each patient are individually thought out according to a collaboration between patient and therapist. I can teach you how to become your own best advocate. My objective as your therapist is to assist you in becoming the best you can be in the environment in which you live. People start to heal the moment they feel heard. Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counsellor (LCMHC) currently serving both North and South Carolina. I have utilized my Masters of Counseling in practice for 8 years. I've spent over 12 years as a Protective Services Social Worker and in that time I had the privilege to serve many people in many walks of life. That experience has given me a unique talent for connecting with people. I enjoy assisting older and young adults struggling with life, relationship and career stress, and others just finding it difficult to become the best versions of themselves.
Maybe you’ve gotten really good at holding it all together—but you’re exhausted.
You’re functioning, showing up for everyone, and doing what you’re supposed to do, yet underneath it all you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break. Maybe your relationships keep repeating the same painful cycles. Maybe something happened in your past that still affects how you respond today. Or maybe you simply know that the way you’re living isn’t the way you want to keep living.
That’s where I come in.
I’m Pam Grant, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 16 years of experience helping women understand not only what they’re feeling, but why their mind and body respond the way they do.
My approach goes beyond simply talking about your problems. I use trauma-informed and somatic approaches to help you recognize patterns, regulate your nervous system, process difficult experiences, and create real change—not just temporarily feel better.
I work especially well with women who are ready to stop surviving and start feeling more like themselves again.
Therapy with me is compassionate, honest, practical, and never judgmental. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out.
You just have to be ready for something to change.

I help clients develop coping strategies that may challenge past thoughts and behaviors but lead toward the accomplishment of goals.
