Hi, I’m MaKaylah, a mental health counselor passionate about creating a safe and supportive space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. I earned my degree in Counseling from Maryville University, where I was trained in both evidence based practices and person centered care.
In my practice, I take a humanistic approach, which means I view every client as whole, capable, and worthy; not defined by a diagnosis or past experiences. I believe that real change happens when you're truly seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges, helping you reconnect with your inner strengths and values.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, I offer a space where you can explore your experiences openly and at your own pace. I also integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities when helpful, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals.
You deserve to feel empowered and supported in your journey, and I’m here to help make that possible.
My name is Jennifer and I've been a therapist for 15 years. I specialize in working with relationship and family issues, parenting, narcissistic abuse recovery, codependency, trauma, and complex PTSD. As a veteran with 15 years of military service I have a special passion for working with active military, veterans, and their families. In my free time, I am an avid traveler, hiker, and backpacker. I have a German Shepard who loves to join me in my adventures.
I love being horribly straightforward with my clients. Coming to therapy can be uncomfortable, but the pay-offs are often life-changing. My passion is to help clients experience healing, balance, peace, and empowerment using holistic and integrative psychotherapy. Realizing that everyone’s mental health needs are unique, I specialize in providing tailored treatment plans that incorporate the latest evidence-based treatment methods with your specific objectives in seeking counseling.
I am committed to working with you to see the results you wish to achieve in therapy. Besides my graduate studies, I have additional training/focus on anxiety, depression, and trauma based therapies and I use a variety of interventions to meet your personal needs/issues. I have also focused my post-graduate studies on positive psychology, holistic methods, and integrated therapies. Use me!! Work with me to use my skills/knowledge to meet your objectives to live a better life.
Welcome! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving the Springfield community, my goal is to provide a deeply compassionate and collaborative space for your outpatient therapy. Whether we are working together to build practical emotional tools, healing past relationship patterns, or exploring your authentic self in a safe, affirming environment, I am here to walk alongside you. My hope is to help you feel truly understood and to empower you with the resilience and confidence to thrive in your everyday life.
You may be someone others rely on—at work, in your relationships, or within your family—but internally you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs while your own take a back seat.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, or difficulty communicating their needs. I also have a strong interest in working with veterans and understand the unique stressors that can come with both military and post-service life.
Hello! Sometimes making the decision to attend therapy is the most difficult decision. However, that doesn't mean that therapy will always be easy. When therapy is difficult, you often grow through those difficult experiences. Others would describe me as a "down to earth" type person and able to remain calm in stressful situations. I meet my clients where they are in life and help them stabilize their current situation before diving into other issues. No one is perfect, we all need help sometimes.
Welcome! Taking the first step toward therapy is a powerful choice. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I use a compassionate, strengths-based approach to help you navigate life’s toughest challenges and build a path toward lasting healing and happiness.

In 2011, I took a leap fulfilling a dream by opening my private practice specializing in gifted and twice exceptional/neurodiverse individuals.

Hello, I am Christina Rydeen. I have been a licensed professional counselor for 13 years. It took me a long time to make this a career and I used to just attract unhappy people wherever I went who needed to talk. Study and research led me to the excitement of learning that as we work on our lives--we really can break old patterns that no longer serve our self interest and we really can emerge into a newer version of who we want to be. A lot of times in life we stop growing, thinking, "I've got this," when we don't realize learning might be a process that doesn't have a stopping point. Is it possible various forms of growth may take our whole lives? Finding and achieving goals as well as the inner work of redefining what is going on in our minds and hearts is a possibility if you want to take it. Blessings and hope and a way to change our perspective might really be possible for everyone..

Anxiety & Sleeplessness
Fear, insomnia, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we work towards increasing sleep time, decreasing panic or anxiety attacks or symptoms, fully understanding where overwhelming emotions stem from, and how to move towards being your best self.
Relationships
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.

A Christian Counselor who counsels with an open Bible during the session. I serve individuals grappling with intrusive negative thoughts, shame, and guilt from past decisions and the lack of clarity about their God-given purpose. Do you experience emotional breakdowns, increased stress, and sleepless nights? Do you often fight to quiet or chase away the persistent inner thoughts/voices? It can be downright SCARY as uncontrollable anxiety and spiritual uncertainty set in, leaving you to wonder, “Where is God?” “Why is this happening to me?” and crying out, “I just want it to stop!” When positive self-talk, distraction, and deep breathing are not working, you need to find a different kind of therapy.
Christian counseling, which utilizes Biblical instructions from God, focuses on dealing with all aspects of mental health. The Bible is true, and scientific discoveries continue to support what God has been telling us.
Let's remove the distracting emotional states of worry, fear, and pain so you can focus on life. You can engage in enjoyable activities again without doubt or apprehension. If you are done with all the annoying, catastrophizing negative thoughts that keep you from enjoying life or rob you of sleep at night, I want to encourage you - you don’t have to live this way.
I offer a FREE 20-minute CONSULTATION if you still have questions. Just message me or email me, and we can set that up!
I enjoy working with people of all ages and supporting their journey of acceptance, increasing resilience, and improving the quality of their life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. I specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting new and expecting mothers. As a parent who has supported my son through anxiety, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to create a safe, supportive, and understanding space for meaningful healing.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping people navigate everyday life. My specialty is working with women and teen girls. I work with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or impacted by difficult experiences, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported.
My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when people feel heard without judgment and empowered to move forward at their own pace. Whether you’re navigating relationship concerns, past trauma, or major life transitions, I focus on helping you build resilience, clarity, and confidence.
Above all, I value connection. Therapy with me is a partnership, and my goal is to walk alongside you as you work toward meaningful and lasting change.
From the outside, it may look like you’re managing life well...showing up for work, relationships, and responsibilities while quietly carrying stress, anxiety, overthinking, or emotional exhaustion underneath it all. Maybe your mind never fully slows down, you feel disconnected from yourself, or you keep finding yourself stuck in the same painful patterns no matter how hard you try to change them alone.
The truth is that healing does not happen in isolation. We are not meant to carry everything by ourselves. Real change happens when you have a space where you can feel emotionally safe, understood, and supported without judgment. That's where I come in. I’m a trauma-informed psychotherapist (LPC) and the founder of Profound Minds Psychological Services. I help adolescents, adults, couples, and families move beyond survival mode, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin creating sustainable, transformative, long-lasting emotional and mental healing. My role is to help you make sense of what is happening beneath the surface and begin creating change that actually lasts.
Many of the individuals I work with are capable, reflective, and self-aware, yet frustrated that insight alone has not been enough. In our work, we go beyond symptoms and begin identifying the emotional and relational patterns driving them. From there, we work to shift those patterns in a structured, realistic, and sustainable way. This is a space where you do not need to hold everything together or have the right words. You can show up as you are, and we will begin from there.
Hi, I’m Molly (she/her), a licensed therapist dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative space where you can show up exactly as you are. In my practice, I specialize in helping individuals heal from past trauma, explore their authentic identities, and confidently navigate the world as AuDHD or neurodivergent individuals. By blending deep, gentle healing approaches with practical, real-world tools, I partner with you to untangle life's challenges at a pace that feels entirely safe and supportive for your nervous system.
I’m Waverly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Supervisor, though most of my family and friends call me “Waves.” The nickname has always felt fitting because I believe life moves in waves. Sometimes it is calm and steady, and other times it can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. My role as a therapist is to help you find steadiness even when the waters feel rough. I bring warmth, patience, and evidence-based practices into each session with the goal of supporting you as you build resilience and work toward emotional well-being.
I’m Jarita Lindsey‑Carter, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of TherapyMatters KC. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation with someone who gets it — not a lecture, not a cold clinical space. I work with kids, teens, and adults who are trying to make sense of anxiety, identity, relationships, or the weight of past experiences. My style is straightforward, compassionate, and practical. I help people understand what’s happening inside them and give them tools that actually make life feel lighter and more manageable.
Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping adults navigate life’s challenges and deepen their understanding of themselves. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and challenges related to intimacy and sexuality.
I believe healing is about more than reducing symptoms; it’s about creating a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with who you truly are. My goal is to provide a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe exploring difficult emotions, patterns, and experiences at your own pace.
As a Black woman, I understand the importance of feeling seen and understood, and I strive to create an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed and respected. I integrate evidence-based approaches with genuine curiosity and compassion, recognizing that each person’s story is unique.
Whether you’re working through unresolved trauma, struggling in relationships, questioning your self-worth, or seeking greater confidence and connection, I am here to support you. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, increase self-awareness, and develop practical tools that help you move toward lasting change, not just temporary relief.
