Tanya McLeod
Hi there my name is Tanya and I am a License Clinical Social Worker. I believe that healing and growth happen when individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. Together, we can identify obstacles, build effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.
First session
Starting therapy can feel exciting, overwhelming, or even a little nerve-racking—and all of those feelings are completely normal. The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. During our first session, I will ask a variety of intake questions to better understand your background, current concerns, symptoms, relationships, supports, and goals for therapy. These questions help me gain a clearer picture of your experiences and determine how I can best support you moving forward.
Strengths
I bring a diverse background and experience working across numerous mental health and medical settings, allowing me to provide well-rounded, individualized care. Above all, I strive to provide a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, empowered, and supported as they work toward healing, self-understanding, and an improved quality of life.
