Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellor (LPCC) based in Minnesota. I received my Masters Degree from North Dakota State University and have been practicing for 20 years. I work in collaboration with adults to work towards healing from past, present and future versions of themselves. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy interventions such as CBT-I as well Eye Movement Desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and Prolonged Exposure.
I always work from a strength based approach. You are the author of you own life and we will work together to write the next chapter. I have been in this business of helping people find their path and heal for over 40 years. If you are looking for a mature therapist who understands your needs and concerns we will work together easily. My degree is in Clinical Social Work but my credentials are a life process of experiencing many challenges and losses and striving to learn and grow from all of them, everyday, all the time. I have a wicked sense of humor and a strong sense of the irony and quirkiness of life. I take my clients very seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously and laughing can sometimes be the best medicine.
I specialize in working with people struggling with eating disorders—anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and related challenges. I recognize these aren't simply about food; they're deeply intertwined with emotional complexity, cognitive patterns, and questions of self that demand thorough, empathetic treatment. Through my specialized Modified DBT training, I help clients navigate overwhelming feelings while building healthier ways of coping.
I also frequently work with those facing debilitating anxiety—whether it shows up as persistent worry, panic attacks, or avoidance. My practice includes young adults in transition, working professionals dealing with performance stress, and adolescents managing social and academic demands.
Beyond this, I support people experiencing depression who want active, goal-oriented approaches to confront negative thinking and rediscover purpose. I work with trauma survivors prepared to work through painful experiences, individuals with mood disorders seeking greater equilibrium, and those navigating identity questions tied to life changes, relationships, or core values. What my clients have in common is readiness—they're committed to actively participating in their healing. They're looking for more than a listening ear; they want actionable tools, collaborative exploration, and proven methods that lead to real transformation. If you're willing to engage fully and commit to your own development, I'm ready to partner with you on that journey.

First, please take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time.
I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and many more. I believe you are the expert in yourself and I there to assist in this process. I see therapy like you are driving the car and I am in the passenger seat riding copilot offering new tools, organizing the tools you already have and providing a different perspective.
More than any modality of therapy the success therapy is dependent on how you, the client, feel in the relationship with your therapist. It is not something to tough out and I encourage you to work with someone you feel you connect with, can be open and honest with.
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to show up as yourself — without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in authenticity, humor, and compassion. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, gently challenged, and empowered to discover solutions that feel meaningful to them.
I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, military families, and individuals navigating grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, and serious mental illness. I have a deep appreciation for helping people move through difficult seasons while building insight, resilience, and self-understanding along the way.
My style blends psychoeducation with practical tools and evidence-based approaches including mindfulness, CBT, narrative therapy, strengths-based and solution-focused therapy, somatic techniques, and play-based interventions when appropriate. Above all, I aim to meet clients where they are and help them move toward growth and healing at their own pace.

I also have extensive experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure-based interventions, mindfulness, and other integrative approaches.
