I am a counselor who embodies empathy, compassion, and motivation in guiding my clients toward healing and self-discovery. My training in TEAM CBT, developed by Dr. David Burns, emphasizes the transformative power of confronting negative thoughts to drive positive emotional change. This method, rooted in the principle that 'The Truth Shall Set You Free,' focuses on identifying and challenging cognitive distortions. Additionally, as a Christian Counselor, I seamlessly integrate Christian principles with traditional talk therapy and TEAM CBT, ensuring that these approaches complement rather than conflict. This holistic blend allows for a therapy experience where clients address their mental health challenges and find deeper meaning and alignment with their spiritual beliefs.
I’ve been a licensed Master Clinical Therapist since 2022, with a Master's in Social Work from Wayne State in 2018 and a Bachelor's in Social Work from Oakland University in 2017. I incorporate various therapeutic approaches like CBT, psychodynamic, exposure therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy, conducting group therapy sessions focusing on trauma, PTSD, and substance abuse. Experienced in crisis therapy and determining appropriate care levels, I combine DSM-5 knowledge and client engagement to empower individuals to reach their full potential.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Life Coach and Author who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and balance. I specialize in working with high-functioning women who often carry multiple roles and responsibilities, yet feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected behind the scenes.
My work is rooted in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I take a collaborative approach, helping clients explore patterns, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop practical strategies that support real, lasting change.
I am known for being both compassionate and direct, offering support while also gently challenging clients to grow, set healthier boundaries, and show up more fully in their lives. My goal is to help each client reconnect with themselves, build confidence, and create a life that feels aligned, balanced, and sustainable
Hi, I’m Demetria Agharese, and I help people who are tired of feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected from themselves find their way forward.
My ideal clients are adults who may look like they have it all together on the outside but are quietly struggling on the inside. You may be the person everyone depends on while privately battling anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD, self-doubt, burnout, relationship difficulties, or the pressure to constantly “hold it all together.”
Maybe your mind won’t shut off. You overthink every decision, question your feelings, replay conversations, worry about what might happen, or feel trapped by thoughts you wish you could turn off. Maybe you’re navigating a breakup, divorce, major life transition, low self-esteem, or simply wondering, “How did I lose myself?”
You don’t have to continue living that way.
I offer a warm, genuine, culturally responsive, and judgment-free space where you can put down the weight you’ve been carrying and talk openly about what’s really happening. I don’t believe therapy should feel like sitting across from someone who simply checks boxes on a diagnosis list. I believe you deserve to feel heard, understood, challenged when needed, and supported throughout the process.
Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ERP, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, behavioral strategies, and mindfulness, I help clients break unhelpful cycles, face fears, manage difficult emotions, build confidence, establish healthier boundaries, and become less controlled by anxiety and uncertainty.
Most importantly, therapy with me is collaborative. I’m not here to tell you who you should be. I’m here to help you discover who you are, understand what matters to you, and develop the confidence to live accordingly.
If you’re ready to stop simply surviving and start creating a life that feels more peaceful, authentic, confident, and meaningful, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

I am in my mid-life body years but my spirit and soul are forever young. I love people. I value my innate ability for unconditional positive regard for all souls. I believe all people are born good and beautiful, but through tough life experiences we get stuck in pain and fear. By identifying autonomic body responses and the connection to our thoughts there is a way to get back to the person we were intended to be, happy and full of life.
