LMSW-C, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a fully licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. I specialize in attachment-focused and trauma-informed care, providing a compassionate and supportive space for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and complex emotional experiences. I am trained in Infant Mental Health (IMH) and have extensive experience working with children and families to support healthy emotional development and relational healing. I also hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and am passionate about supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting transitions. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my work, tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs while building strong therapeutic relationships to promote healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also ask some questions about your background, strengths, and support systems so I can better understand your story. This session is a chance for you to get a feel for my style as a therapist and decide if it feels like a good fit. You don’t need to prepare anything—just come as you are. Some clients share a lot right away, while others take more time to feel comfortable, and both are completely okay. By the end of our first meeting, you’ll have a clearer sense of how we might work together, and we’ll discuss next steps, including setting goals and what our sessions could look like moving forward.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that I combine evidence-based methods with a relational, compassionate style. I draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients build practical skills for managing thoughts and emotions, while also using attachment-focused and strengths-based strategies to address deeper patterns and relationships. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to make changes. Rather than a “one-size-fits-all” method, I tailor sessions to each person’s unique needs and goals, ensuring therapy feels both meaningful and practical. Clients often notice that therapy with me balances insight with action—you’ll not only gain a deeper understanding of yourself, but also walk away with tools you can use in daily life. My goal is to help you build lasting skills, improve relationships, and feel more confident navigating challenges.
I am best positioned to serve individuals and families who are seeking support with building healthier relationships, managing stress, and navigating life transitions. Many of my clients come with a desire to better understand themselves, regulate their emotions, and improve communication with others. I work well with those who may feel “stuck” in patterns they want to change, who are motivated to grow, or who are open to exploring new tools and perspectives. I especially support clients who want to: Strengthen their emotional regulation and coping skills Improve confidence and self-awareness Heal attachment wounds or relationship struggles Manage anxiety, depression, or life stressors Develop practical strategies for balance in school, work, and family life My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based, making therapy a safe space to learn, heal, and create meaningful change.
I have been an attachment based therapist for about five years, specifically working within the mother-child dyad. Attachment- based therapy helps individuals understand how early relationships shape their emotional well-being, behavior, and connections with others. By addressing disruptions or insecurities in attachment, this therapeutic approach fosters healing, strengthens trust, and builds healthier patterns of relating. It is especially valuable for children, families, and adults who have experienced trauma, loss, or relational challenges, as it supports the development of safety, resilience, and secure bonds.
I have been a CBT therapist for 7 years. This modality helps individuals recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that impact emotions and daily functioning. By building practical coping skills, CBT empowers people to manage stress, improve problem-solving, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. I use CBT to help individuals age 8 through adulthood. It is helpful to support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other challenges.
