About me

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Maya Angelou, Hello, I am a licensed clinician who believes therapy should be an authentic, grounded space where you never have to pretend to have it all together. My approach combines deep empathy with direct, practical feedback. I work extensively with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and complex relationship dynamics... Especially those who are used to being the strong one or "fixer" for everyone else. I am here to help you drop the heavy armor, process past experiences, and rediscover who you are on your own terms.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about building trust and getting comfortable. We will go at a pace that feels safe for you. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current stressors, and talk through what you hope to achieve. You won't be interrogated or judged; think of it as a collaborative conversation where we begin mapping out a path forward. By the end of our first meeting, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and clear on what our next steps look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is my balance of real-world candor, laughter, warmth, and structure. I actively engage with you, ask thought-provoking questions, and provide actionable tools you can use immediately. I bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens to every session, helping you identify root patterns rather than just managing surface symptoms. Clients often share that my down-to-earth presence makes it easy to open up and do the real, transformative work of building firm boundaries, emotional regulation, and genuine self-respect.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an adult or adolescent who is navigating trauma, complex life transitions, anxiety, or high-conflict relationship dynamics. On the surface, you might be the person who holds everything together—accustomed to being the caregiver, manager, or "fixer" for everyone around you. But on the inside, you feel drained, emotionally disconnected, or stuck in cycles of people-pleasing and self-sabotage. You may struggle with setting firm boundaries, processing past hurts, or figuring out who you truly are once you step away from the roles you play for others. While you might feel overwhelmed, guarded, or hesitant at first, you are deeply ready for real, lasting change. I work best with clients who appreciate a warm, authentic, and direct space where you can drop your shield. Whether you are building your independence, working through grief and burnout, or navigating challenging life shifts, you don't need a passive listener... You may need a trusted partner. Together, we will challenge the thought patterns keeping you stuck, build practical tools for emotional regulation, and help you reclaim your self-respect, peace, and identity.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize CBT to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns that drive emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. Together, we focus on building practical tools to challenge core beliefs, improve mood regulation, and create tangible behavioral change. I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients navigate ambivalence and tap into their own internal motivation for change. My approach is non-judgmental and collaborative, helping clients align their daily actions with their core values and long-term goals. I also integrate trauma-informed principles with mindfulness techniques to help clients build emotional regulation and ground themselves during moments of stress or anxiety. We focus on somatic awareness, self-compassion, and developing healthy internal boundaries.
