Hello, I am Haley Darr. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 22 years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate complex emotions, relationship patters, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based therapies. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain clarity, strengthen relationships and move toward steady, lasting change. Clients feel seen, understood and guided rather than judged or lectured. I guide clients toward healthier connections with others.
Life doesn't always go the way we expect, and sometimes we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or simply not like ourselves. If you're here, you've already taken one of the hardest steps by reaching out for support.
I'm passionate about helping women navigate some of life's biggest transitions. I specialize in working with women experiencing pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety, PMDD, perimenopause, and menopause. These seasons of life can bring significant emotional, physical, and hormonal changes that often leave you wondering, "What's happening to me?" You don't have to figure it out alone.
I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, and other life transitions. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to provide a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—without fear of judgment. I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported as we work through life's challenges together.
I believe therapy works best when it's a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to listen, offer guidance, and provide evidence-based tools that help you better understand yourself and navigate the obstacles standing in your way. Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs while helping you build practical skills that you can use long after our sessions end.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed by life's changes, or trying to find your way through a difficult season, you don't have to do it alone. Thank you for considering me to be part of your story. I look forward to supporting you as you work toward feeling more like yourself again.

Hello, and welcome! During that time, I have also worked with a wide range of individuals seeking therapy for life’s many challenges.

My name is Teresa Barnes. I’m Licensed in the State of Michigan with over 3O years of experience. I have extensive experience working with children that have behavior problems and trauma. Acceptance Therapy has been very effective and the foundation of what I believe as a social worker which is to start therapy at the clients pace and to effectively engage them in therapeutic process. It’s is my aspiration and goal to help my clients thrive and achieve success according to their definition of success.
I would say I'm a bit of a quirky therapist with a down-to-earth and unconditionally accepting perspective. I am most familiar with Person-Centered, REBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused therapies. I'm willing to tailor my approach to your sensibilities, but I'm also comfortable challenging you where necessary. I'm confident we'll get to the bottom of what troubles you and we'll find the solution working together.
I believe in therapy as someone who has done my own clinical work since I was in my mid-twenties. I grew up in NJ and moved to Michigan to attend college and have been here since that time. I spent the first part of my career working in the foster care system with children and adolescents which I really enjoyed. That gave me a great foundation for working with the adult issues of attachment, child developmental stages that were not accomplished and struggles with current relationships.
I do a lot of work with people who were raised by narcissistic parents, people who are dealing with cancer diagnosis and those with chronic or life threatening illnesses. I work with people who are addressing childhood trauma, sexual abuse or emotional abuse. I have worked with adoptees who are seeking understanding of themselves and their past. I do a lot of work with individuals transitioning from a divorce situation and all the adjustments that this involves especially in coparenting situations. I find people and their life experiences fascinating and always worth unpacking and investigating to gain a better understanding of the self as a whole being; there is always something new to learn.
As a provider, I always believe my clients are experts in their own lives. You have known you for your whole life and I am a guest in this chapter. I bring psychological and health expertise, and you bring expertise in who you were, who you are, and who you want to be. Taking a trauma-informed and resilience-building approach, I work with the body and mind to help you explore your unique pathway to wellbeing.
Because no two people are the same, I also believe your care should reflect your unique needs and perspective. Utilizing an integrative approach, we will work together to develop your personalized path to wellness.
Overall, we'll strive for balance, connection, and long-lasting transformation centered on you!

I trained at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, and my clinical focus since has been the intersection of substance use and mental health — what the field calls co-occurring disorders, and what most of my clients simply call the hardest thing they've ever dealt with. Addiction rarely shows up alone. It travels with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and complicated relationships.

Hello potential client! You are hurting in some way if you are here reading this. Maybe you feel like you are getting more and more stressed out and just one more stressor would be too much for you to handle. Maybe you worry all the time about everything and can't stop. Maybe you are sad all the time and don't enjoy doing things that used to be fun. Maybe you are feeling helpless or hopeless about what to do. Maybe you have been through a traumatic experience or are grieving. Maybe you are thinking the way you have been using substances is causing you problems. You have tried your best to help yourself but nothing has worked the way you hoped it would. You don't know what to do but you do know you can't keep going the way you have been.
This is where I come in! I help people who are ready to change for the better! My heart is for helping hurting people and I strive to treat all of my clients with the compassion and respect I believe they deserve. The most important part of positive change in a therapeutic relationship depends on just that - the relationship between the therapist and the client. I also use a variety of resources to help my clients. These include evidence-based types of therapy, worksheets and measurements. I also offer Christian counseling to those who are interested and am also happy to work with people of other spiritual beliefs.
I offer free consultation calls so we can both decide if working together would be a good fit for both of us. I look forward to hearing from you if I sound like I would be your kind of therapist!

As a behaviorist, I believe that the environments in which we develop ultimately play the most significant role in our actions, decisions, and outcomes. Without the proper space for growth, healing, and self-development, one may face difficulties in achieving self-realization and self-actualization. Human-beings are social creatures – genetically designed, behaviorally conditioned, and evolutionarily driven. We possess certain intrinsic, natural needs and adaptations that have developed over millions of years. If these dualistically basic and complex needs remain unfulfilled, we will struggle to attain this self-actualization.

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and dialectal behavioral. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My hours are 8 am to 2pm Monday through Friday . I have different hours for sessions and those include nights and weekends. Please visit my schedule. I have times and days blocked out for those who need special times like early morning, evenings and weekends. Please ask so I can open an appointment. I am very accommodating to scheduling. My schedule looks full but many times have been blocked to meet the needs of clients. Please ask.
