New to Grow
Over 15 years ago, I began my work as a licensed professional counselor. Since then, I’ve worked with diverse individuals and consistently seen that when people are empowered with the right information, they can often find the best solutions to their challenges. Using a range of evidence-based therapies, I guide purposeful conversations and reflection to support that process. I believe in discussing difficult topics with compassion and without judgment. Because you are the expert on your own life, collaboration is central to our work. Together, we develop practical and creative solutions, remain flexible as needs evolve, and build a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship focused on your goals. My experience includes four years working primarily with children and teenagers facing anxiety, mood concerns, relationship challenges, stress, and future planning. Prior to that, I worked in community mental health supporting clients ages 11 to 99 with a wide range of mental health concerns. I approach each client with respect for their resilience and capacity for growth. My role is to offer clarity, tools, and guidance as we work together to build confidence, develop strategies, and create meaningful progress toward your goals.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I take a laid-back, collaborative approach to therapy. Building a trusting relationship is deeply important to me, so I focus on creating a space where clients feel comfortable sharing what matters most to them. I believe clients should have a strong voice in therapy—developing their own goals and identifying what they value and want to change. While it’s important to address difficult topics directly, I’m patient and trust that people will explore those areas when they feel ready. Therapy can be deep and personal, but I also believe there should be room for humor and moments of lightness along the way.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Being nonjudgmental is one of my core values as a therapist. It’s something that requires ongoing practice and self-awareness, and it’s a skill I’ve spent a great deal of time developing. I also believe humility is essential in this work. My clients are the true experts on their own lives, and my role is to listen, support, and help them explore what matters most to them.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I look forward to working with people who are ready to be the scientist in their own experiment. Therapy can be a space for curiosity—where we explore patterns, try new perspectives, and observe what helps you move toward the life you want. It’s exciting to work with people who feel motivated to make changes and who are willing to look honestly and thoughtfully at their own experiences. That kind of openness and reflection often leads to meaningful growth. I especially enjoy supporting people who take a genuine interest in understanding themselves more deeply and who want to become a more comfortable, confident, and authentic version of themselves. Together, we can explore what works for you, learn from what doesn’t, and continue adjusting along the way.
