My one personal goal for you is to help you learn how to help yourself. It might sound cheesy, but I just want the best for everyone and sometimes that means stepping outside of your comfort zone and asking for help. I strive to help others learn how to help themselves so that they can learn to trust their gut.
In our first session we start to learn what is initially bringing you to therapy. We try and explore what therapy looks like with me and what you're ready for at this moment in time. I look to build off of our first session to help you feel safe and comfortable sharing your inner most personal thoughts with someone you don't know.
I'm as transparent as they come and I try to bring that skill into session with you. We are here to help you work through tough times and it's important to me that I am as real as you are.
AH! I love working with motivated clients who are ready to put in the work with therapy. Therapy is hard and I want to continue to help motivate my clients to realize they can be the best version of themselves.

Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-centered therapy, also known as client-centered therapy, focuses on the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client and the inherent ability for each individual to heal. It is not about trying to diagnose clients or fit them into a mold. The therapist is there to help the client by providing a comfortable and trusting space for them to examine themselves and develop their own solutions. The therapist's job is to try and facilitate the client's own understanding of the world, not to push them in any particular direction or teach them what to think. I strive to help my clients help themselves. I believe it is important for the client to feel seen and heard, as well as be given the space and opportunity to speak honestly, without fear of judgment. It is also important to try and build trust between therapist and client so the client will feel comfortable enough to talk about their most difficult experiences and deepest fears, and can trust that their therapist will not invalidate them.

Rachelle is so easy to talk to, and makes it feel like you’re chatting with a friend while offering gentle guidance and encouragement throughout your therapy journey. She doesn’t push in a noticeable way, but you’re going to grow. 🌺
