I believe in therapy as someone who has done my own clinical work since I was in my mid-twenties. I grew up in NJ and moved to Michigan to attend college and have been here since that time. I spent the first part of my career working in the foster care system with children and adolescents which I really enjoyed. That gave me a great foundation for working with the adult issues of attachment, child developmental stages that were not accomplished and struggles with current relationships. I do a lot of work with people who were raised by narcissistic parents, people who are dealing with cancer diagnosis and those with chronic or life threatening illnesses. I work with people who are addressing childhood trauma, sexual abuse or emotional abuse. I have worked with adoptees who are seeking understanding of themselves and their past. I do a lot of work with individuals transitioning from a divorce situation and all the adjustments that this involves especially in coparenting situations. I find people and their life experiences fascinating and always worth unpacking and investigating to gain a better understanding of the self as a whole being; there is always something new to learn.

Hello, my name is Devin Jones and I’m a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individual psychotherapy. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or questions about identity, trauma, or direction in life. I work with teens and adults to better understand these experiences while also building practical skills to feel more grounded and in control. My approach blends structured, evidence-based work like CBT and ERP with a more relational, collaborative style. That means we’ll not only explore patterns and past experiences, but also actively practice new ways of responding in the present. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can show up as you are—without needing to filter or perform. I love to work with people who are willing to think, to consider new ideas, to examine themselves honestly, and to try new behaviors. This is exciting! I love people who allow me the occasional moment of silence so that I can prepare a question that fits their unique personality and situation. I love working with people who are excited about working on things throughout the week and will give me honest feedback as to how effective that idea was for them. And i find it very enjoyable to work with someone who can articulate what they believe their issue is and what they think they need to do to overcome (either by increasing or decreasing a behavior) their problem (even if it takes a few sessions to get there). it's great to work with people who will do their best to give a new idea a shot. All that being said, everyone has their up days and down days. We wouldn't be human if we didn't. Being willing to let me walk alongside of them on those days, as well as the good days, humbles me because of their trust. Therapy can be work, and change doesn't fall into our laps. But it is possible, and in many cases, in order to experience abundant living, very necessary. Finally, I really enjoy working with people who, even as they identify a tendency, a personality trait, a reaction, or a thought process that may be related to childhood or adult trauma or abuse, will also look for ways to overcome its impact on them instead of being content to sit in its shade and let themselves be bested by it.

Hello! Wishing you wellness. I’m Christina, A Licensed Professional Counselor completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and neuroscience. I have practiced in Maryland, New Jersey, Florida and Michigan for over 20 years. I practice solution-focused therapy that leads to results! I treat young women ages 18-40, utilizing a variety of techniques. I believe in listening, helping and healing but I am most concerned about growth. I believe that clients who remain stagnant in therapy are not getting their needs met. Therapy is a collaboration and a partnership. It is about working together to promote healing and also teaching tools and techniques that will last a lifetime. Long after the therapy session is over, clients continue to live their lives. If ill equipped to handle difficult times, a client can find themselves in the same situation that sent them to therapy initially. This could potentially lead to dependency on therapy or one may find themselves disliking therapy.

I understand life from many intersections. I know the stigma of seeing a mental health professional, but I also know that most of people that are in therapy seek treatment because they have to deal with people that refuse to seek treatment for themselves. My name is Anthony and I have worked in the behavioral health field for 30 years. I am very active in the behavioral health field even being acknowledged as a Notable Leader in Behavioral Health in 2023 through Crain's Detroit. While a large portion of my work is spent training and managing a team of behavioral health professionals it is incredibly important to me to continue creating space to partner and directly serve people. This is where you come in, providing counseling is generally the best part of my work. It grounds me with why I am a work in behavioral health, it allows me to practice the skills I have learned over the decades and it creates energy and life satisfaction. You have many options of who to choose as a therapist, know that if you choose me I will be excited to see you and to partner with you. Seeing clients is literally not my job, I genuinely want to be your counselor and I look forward to seeing you.

She is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and the State of Connecticut. Her comments and questions directed toward potential clients include the following: If you are facing challenges in your life and are considering therapy I am happy to assist. Many of us experience issues with anxiety, confidence, and self-esteem. Emotions, thoughts and behaviors can be very challenging. It is my goal to assist clients with understanding how these three components are interrelated and to assist clients with empowering themselves to achieve increased awareness, introspection and insight and gain a happier life. Are you faced with worry? Do you find yourself overthinking and experiencing racing thoughts? Perhaps you experience social anxiety. Are you facing a history of family trauma? Or perhaps, issues with communication and conflict in a relationship? Perhaps you are dealing with a stressful matter related to your career, or educational endeavors. Or, you may be dealing with identity issues and/or gender changes. These are just some of the examples of the topics that we can address during sessions. Karenna Lang's primary areas of interest include persons suffering from anxiety, persons with a history of family trauma, and individuals and couples experiencing problems with communication and conflicts. Experiences, focus and satisfaction also includes working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. Karenna Lang further has expressed, whatever issues you may be facing, it is a courageous step to seek and obtain counseling services and I am happy to offer a friendly approach and a safe, confidential, respectful, and supportive environment.
